Chapter 55: Vermin

The reinforcement special ability was simply using one's spirit energy to strengthen the body to increase its physical capabilities. Such an ability was reliant on how much spirit energy the user possessed, the more spirit energy the user possessed and reinforced, the stronger they become when using the special ability.

Naturally, Akila and his father possessed a massive amount of spirit energy, enough for three people combined. Since this was their special ability and anyone skillful enough could use it, they were granted an advantage naturally to help them surpass those possessing their ability. Even someone like Zero whose spirit energy was abundant because of the nature of his special ability couldn't compare to Akila.

His reinforcement twenty percent simply meant he was circulating twenty percent of his spirit energy all over his body, and using it to perform the reinforcement ability. At this point, this could be considered his current body limit but the bitter truth about this power level was that his twenty percent was Akila's five percent and Akila could go up to ten percent. That is double his strength! But then again, he couldn't complain, the fact he could use his body this way in battle was something he always dreamed of, so at the moment he was temporarily satisfied with his level

Zero had gone through Shi Jia's file and he didn't need anyone to tell him he had to end the fight as soon as possible. Shi Jia was a youth who had reached the realm of the strongest martial arts masters in the empire, as a youth, successfully achieving the aura materialization power which all martial arts masters dreamed of. Even though there was no exact record of the capabilities of this power, Zero wasn't eager to find out either. He may possess greater strength but he knew he was lacking in skill and it was only a matter of time before he is overpowered by Shi Jia

With a loud bang Zero shot towards Shi Jia, reaching his target in a heart beat and smashing down at him with a clenched fist only to realized he struck the bare ground, leaving enough web-shaped cracks to make the other students retreat a bit in fear. They still couldn't understand how much strength Zero had gained within a short period of time but what was more shocking was the fact that Zero's attack was aimed to kill.

"I really believed you were joking when you spoke about killing me but after surviving such an attack, I am sure you planning on ending my life here" Shi Jia's voice resonating from the side left Zero a bit stunned by his opponent's physical prowess. At first, he thought that he could overwhelm Shi Jia with his greater strength and speed but now all that looked like a dream.

{I was a fool to think that a martial arts master at such a profound realm will be any weaker than myself} Zero thought while he slowly rose to his feet.

"Well, well… You escaped… I was hoping to end it all in one move but I guess that was just a dream… and yes, you came at my family with the intent to kill a day ago, if we didn't step in, we might as well be mourning our loss… Now I have the chance to pay you back tenfold, why won't I jump at the opportunity?" Zero said while he slowly walked towards Shi Jia. This time it was obvious he was cautious of his foe's capabilities.

"Your friend here trampled upon his fellow classmate as if he were trash, aiming to cripple him in that battle… If I hadn't stepped in Damian would have been hospitalized for months… You all trample on the weak and think its normal but once someone steps on you, you end up retaliating… Believing you have been wronged… Pitiful!" Shi Jia sneered.

"Hahaha… Did you fail to notice the fact that Damian also put the kid Tristain in a bad condition? Or didn't you watch his first battle? Yet you chose to overlook it… Just admit it… You aimed at Kira for your own personal reasons… Damian's condition had nothing to do with it… and yes, it is normal for the weak to be trampled upon by the strong… It is a natural cycle of life… Do you avoid the ants when you walk on the streets? Of course, you don't… I see no reason why you should be blabbing about trivial matters like this" Zero chuckled lightly while he spoke, annoying Shi Jia even more.

"Just like I thought, the Oscuro group is no different from the rest… Vermins like you should not exist in this world!... I Shi Jia will protect the weak from monsters like you and uphold justice, law and order… Zero! You will not leave this place alive!" Shi Jia roared as he entered his fighting stance, letting his aura run wild.
