A young village boy named Nishio ventures out into the forest one evening and ends up being caught in a storm. He arrives at a drowned meadow, a blood-covered maiden dressed in white sitting in the middle, a warm mangled body keeping her company. This is the story of a naive boy's first love and the scars it leaves.
