In a bar at a small town. The town's people are celebrating some sort of festivity for the great harvest they had that year.
People danced, drank and sang. Others celebrated in a more private manner. Among all these people, there was a sole woman that looked outside the window.
She was five feet and six inches tall. Her hair was black, long and made into a ponytail. She wore black pants, boots and shirt, all made out of leather. Those clothes made her look like a beautiful man with long hair. In short, she seemed like a trap.
Her blue eyes only focused on the outside, right at the town's entrance. Her milky white skin shone with the moonlight. Making her appear to be an angel.
"You should enjoy the night, Sasha." A little boy, seemingly seven to eight, approached her from behind. He had black hair, eyes and skin as white as Sasha. He wore simple brown pants, white shirt and sandals.
"I just have a bad feeling." Sasha stated without moving her gaze from the window.
"Come on, sis. You're 20 this year. You should be thinking on getting a partner and having kids." The boy smiled mischievously.
"You know why I can't do that." Sasha murmured while blushing. But she didn't stopped looking at the town's entrance.
"Because men find your strength as a threat isn't an excuse to give up on finding your soulmate." The boy stated, still smiling.
Sasha looked at the boy and proceeded to say, "There…"
Boom!
An explosion interrupted Sasha before she could even began. Sasha looked through the window, seeing a whole platoon of soldiers wearing steel knight armor standing on top of the destroyed town's entrance.
Sasha charged out of the bar. Worried visible on her face. She ran quickly, overtaking the town's people that were in front of her. She stopped in front the platoon of soldiers.
"What would soldiers from the Heavenly Palace like you all want with a town as far out of the Holy Kingdom as this one?" Sasha asked, her full attention was on one soldier specifically. He looked seemed to be the strongest. Therefore the leader.
"We are just in a Heavenly Crusade." The man Sasha was looking at walked forward and stood in front of all the soldiers.
This man wore no helmet, showing his short blonde hair, blue eyes, white skin and above average feature. His armor had golden markings, which made several symbol Sasha couldn't understand. She guessed that was the work of some Seal Master.
"What is the Holy Crusade about, if I may ask?" Sasha was worried about these soldiers as she knew Heavenly Palace on a Holy Crusade are the worst news one could hear.
"Of course." The man smiled a smile that worried Sasha. "Our Heavenly priest received a revelation. She prophesied the birth of a heretic that would dare to go against the Heavens Palace."
Sasha heart dropped. Heavenly Palace mentioning a heretic only meant one thing, their hunting. And the way they showed up worries her. She clenched her first. Her muscle tone arms showing its veins due to Sasha's clenched fists.
"The Heavenly priest said we would find the place the heretic hides after three days of travel to the south." The man let a white looking energy cover him. The soldiers followed his example. "Can you guess how long we travel?"
The energy they displayed pressured everyone in town, excluding a small group people who released a blood red energy from their bodies to counter the pressure. Sasha was included among this group.
"Heavenly Knights! Flatten this town to the ground and kill everyone who lives in it! Especially the children!" The man ordered with a thunderous voice.
But before anyone could move to start what Sasha knew would be a massacre, a tornado of blue and green energies showed up in the middle of the two forces.
A black staff with golden markings popped out of the tornado. It proceeded to move opposite to the tornado spin, making it vanished.
Where the tornado once stood, a six foot tall man with wild long red hair and a monkey tail now stood. His clothes were black with some golden patterns here and there. It consisted on a long sleeve opened black jacket with yellow and black pants and boots.
He had a crown or a golden headband on his head. It ended on two spirals on the front.
The man's golden eyes were fixed on the Heavenly Knights. He stood lazily with the staff that dispersed the tornado of energy on his shoulder. His arms were on top of said staff.
"Hello, Heavenly Knights. My name is Sun Ethan." The man presented himself with confidence.
The man leading the knights gave Ethan an appraising look and asked, "What does a level 25 weakling want with us, the Heavenly Knights?"
"I just want you to get out of my sight." Ethan replied simply while poking his ear.
The man laughed and said, "A level 25 like you, wants us to get lost. Us, Heavenly Knight!"
The man kept on laughing as his men followed him on his laughter.
"In order to become a Heavenly Knight, one needs to be at least level 50. And to be able to command a platoon of Heavenly knights, one needs to reach level 75. But you want a whole platoon of people twice your level being led by someone three times your level to get lost." The man got serious at the end.
He began to release an even more pressure with his white energy and directed it all to Ethan
"That sums it up right." Ethan stated while nodding.
"Kill him." The man ordered.
Sasha heart was beating fast since Ethan showed up. She couldn't stop looking at his back, even with the threat the Heavenly knights represented.
'Is this what they call love at first sight?' Sasha thought as her eyes figuratively took the shapes of hearts while they beat in unison with her heart.
Her heart dropped the moment the Heavenly knights charged at him. She was about to jump into the fray without thinking about it for a second. Sasha was level 60 and a battle hardened fighter, but even her would have trouble with so many cultivators at level 50.
But these weren't some no-name cultivators. These were Heavenly knights, cultivators that use skill and technique to fight higher leveled cultivators.
Sasha thought Ethan would die as he had a lower level than them. But what she saw change her view on things.
