#2: The Letter

"Felicity Riddle! FELICITY BELLATRIX RIDDLE!!! GET YOUR A-"

"I'm up, I'm up," I say, groggily, looking at my surroundings.

I was in a brick room with a bunch of white beds.

As I sat up, I looked at the person who woke me up, my best friend Val.

"What is it?" I ask, shaking off sleep.

"You got a letter!!!" Val exclaims, shaking a piece of paper in front of me.

It was then when I noticed what she was wearing. Val was wearing black robes with silver stripes on them.

"1st off, who would send me a letter? 2nd off, what are you wearing?" I ask.

"To answer your first question, you got a letter from Hogwarts! I read it! To answer you second question, I wearing my new robes. Like them?"

"Yeah, yeah. Sure. Did you say Hogwarts?"

"Yep! Sure did!"

I fully sit up and jump out of my bed.

"Well, what are we waiting for! Lets go to Diagon Alley!" I exclaim, looking for some robes to wear.(I live in a wizarding orphanage. I never knew my parents.)

"Well, um, you see, about that..." Val trails off, looking at the ground.

"What?" I ask, putting on my robes.

"I haven't told Madam Malfoy yet." Val says, looking at the floor.

I glance at her.

"We'll be fine. I'm sure Madam will let us go!" I tell Val, tugging down the stairs to Madam's office.

When I knock on the door, Val immediately starts to fidget.

Madam Malfoy is very particular about our appearances.

"Come in," a voice says from inside.

I open the door and look at Madam's office. The walls are green and silver, dedicated to her house, and her desk is maghony wood.

"What brings you children here?" Madam asks, looking at us.

"Well Madam Malfoy, I got a letter from Hogwarts! I got in!" I exclaim, showing her the letter.

Madam takes the letter and exams it.

"Seems legit. You may take one partner, Miss Riddle, I assume it's Miss Nott?" Madam asks, looking at Val.

"Yes Madam Malfoy," I reply, looking at Val.

Madam sighs.

"I suppose you ladies can go," Madam says, handing us some galleons.

"Thank you, Madam Malfoy," I say, taking the money.

I walk calmly out the door and to the door with Val.

"OMG!!! We can finally leave!!!" I squeal, excited.

Val regains her composure and says," I know right! Lets leave this Hell hole!"

She then takes me by the arm and takes me outside.
