Outstanding

Three days later.

"Master, something went wrong with our collaboration with White Modelling Agency." Purple reported to Shera in the study.

"What happened?" Shera asked without raising her head from the documents she was reading.

"The deal was supposed to be signed tomorrow. However, CEO White suddenly came to the company and caused a ruckus then said that he would not sign a contract with CT Corporation, without giving any plausible reasons.

In his words, he does not wish to collaborate with an incompetent president who does not even have time for her business partners. He also said that if you think you deserve to extort compensation out of him, you should book an appointment and have a word with his secretary." Purple did not mean to be a tattletale but to avoid miscommunication, it was her role to relay messages word by word. And in this case, Shera should not be patient or bow down to people who dared to cause a ruckus at CT Corporation and insult her in the presence of her employees. That would devalue her.

Shera tapped her armrest and grinned. "I see." She had chosen to work from home today for a reason and that reason did pay off. "The Qins are finally doing something significant. I almost grew grey hair from waiting for them to make a move."

She picked a pen from the desk and rolled it with a satisfied grin on her face.

Of course she knew what was happening. If anyone ever wanted to speak to her and she was not in her office, Purple would contact her.

There was only one reason for him to cause such a ruckus without waiting for Purple to call her: the Qins had greased his palms. Since he couldn't find anything to nitpick about their collaboration or CT Corporation's products, he could only choose this way to piss Shera off and make it her fault.

"I will meet up with CEO White. In the meantime, You are going to Singles Bar. Get changed into a dress that accentuates your beauty and makes you stand out. When you are done, come back here for me to have a look."

"Yes Master." Purple rushed to her room and came back within fifteen minutes, wearing a red dress whose length was just enough to cover her bottom and a small section of her thighs. It was also off the shoulder and clung to her body.

Shera frowned in disapproval. "You look beautiful and seductive, but I did not ask for this type of outstanding. Looks like you still need to learn many things."

Purple balled her fists nervously as Shera continued. "Your dress needs to match your personality. This is the exact opposite. And by outstanding I meant you should stand out in a bar. Do you think this dress would make that possible? There are many girls wearing almost nothing.

You should wear something only slightly short and not too showy. Something you can wear to a business dinner and not attract too many cringes.

Purple was surprised that Shera explained so much. But she was right.

Indeed, a skimpy dress wouldn't stand out in such a place as a bar. The opposite would.

Purple hurried to change to a dress that covered more skin and came back looking like an innocent young woman.

"Good." Shera said and went ahead to give instructions.

"When you arrive, look for the manager, Vivette. She will show you where to sit.

Stay in that spot unless I send you a message to leave. Do not tolerate any males. Not even Cedric Qin. In fact, if Cedric Qin approaches you, send him away in annoyance."

Purple had the urge to ask. Why should she send the man she was going to seduce away? But she didn't ask. All she had to do was follow instructions.

Shera didn't explain either, but she had taken the facts into consideration.

Several women were currently plastering themselves to Cedric Qin for a chance to get to enjoy the wealth he was known to generously spend on his women. They knew that this was the best chance since he was looking for a distraction.

However, he must be annoyed by then considering how sad he was. If Purple directly sought him too, she might be shoved away by him.

So Shera arranged for Purple to sit in a spot where she would be in Cedric's direct line of sight. If she was the only woman who was close to him but didn't make a move, he would be intrigued. After all, mourning or not, deep down he was still the infamous playboy who believed that all women must bow at his feet.

If he made the first move and Purple rejected him, things would get even better. He would be determined to satisfy his own pride by making Purple fall in love with him… and fall into the little trap Shera had weaved.

Easy as pie, right?
