Wild speculation

After the initial shock, everyone calmed down and paid more attention to what Shera was saying.

"Before I continue," her eyes darted around before they stopped sharply at a young man in the midst of the employees. "Get out before my patience runs out."

Everyone followed her line of sight to see the young man shivering.

Shera looked at him condensingly. "Tell your boss to hire a better mole next time. You could have also done a better job with the disguise. Also, tell Director Chao that if he doesn't have a good explanation for letting this happen, I do not want to see him ever again."

This was her second reason for calling for a meeting abruptly: she knew that there was a mole in CT Corporation. After gathering all the possibilities and eliminating the least probable ones, she had called the rest of them for a meeting. She knew that she would find the mole if she looked carefully and she had been right.

So the Qins were not slacking after all. However, she could tell that their desperation was making them too anxious to do anything right. She almost rolled her eyes as she thought. 'Relax… defeating an opponent like me requires you to have a sane state of mind.'

The mole had been found out already, and he knew that trying to deny it would only land him in trouble. Hence he picked his briefcase and walked out.

All the other employees were puzzled by what was going on. The person they thought was Director Chao was not actually him but a mole in disguise? How shocking!

Even then, they kept quiet like their tongues had been stolen and did not dare to gossip about it. The aura the president was emanating right now warned everyone against doing anything to attract her attention.

One of the things Shera hated the most was wasting time on something once it had been settled. Since the mole had walked out, she no longer dwelt on it. Instead, she moved on to talk about the profitable ideas that would help them achieve the goal she had just mentioned.

When she explained the whole plan strategically, they were impressed though not entirely surprised.

That was what Shera Black, or in the business world Arya Turner, was best known for. She could take up the most difficult task and plan it out so well that it would almost seem like child's play.

That was why some people were fond of saying that in business, having ideas was important, but being able to plan it out perfectly mattered just as much. Shera was proficient in both, and that was one of the reasons for her success.

"Let's all try to strictly stick to the plan. Defeating The Qin Empire is just a piece of cake." She concluded with what looked like an evil smile.

Eer… she was talking about defeating The Qin Empire again?

Why did it seem like their President had something against the Qin Empire? Most of the things she did was to rival them.

While the other employees speculated, Purple was not surprised. She had been in La Rose Noire for long enough to know that Shera did indeed have something against the Qin Empire. Even she didn't know what it was exactly. But now that she thought about it, there was a wild rumor many years ago and it made speculations fill her mind.

Right. Many years ago, The Qin Empire was not as unrivaled as it currently was. It had been defeated several times by Black Enterprises, their most potential competitor. Not only that, Black Enterprises was getting more prominent by the month and most of The Qin Empire's business partners had started collaborating with Black Enterprises instead. Hence the two families became rivals to the point of enmity, both in the business world and personally.

It was not surprising that when tragedy struck the Black family, rumor broke out about the culprits behind it being the Qin family. However, it was just a rumor. People could spin anything and talk about it.

Purple had a sudden thought and it shocked her. What if the rumor was true?

Shera's surname was coincidentally Black.

Also, a few years ago, she literally appeared out of nowhere and created La Rose Noire as mysteriously as she had appeared.

No one knew anything about her background. Even her alias, Arya Turner, had appeared out of thin air.

What if she had another identity and was actually from the Black family? If that was the case and the rumor was true, that would explain why she hated the Qin family so much...

Although no one had ever heard of any daughter of the Black family called Shera, it wouldn't be entirely impossible. After all, in this era, many business families in Olphire liked to hide away the children they considered geniuses, to protect them from their enemies.

Shera Black was definitely a rare genius in the business world. If she was really from that family, it wouldn't be...

Purple shook her head. How could she space out in the middle of a meeting to speculate such wild things?

If Shera knew what she was thinking about, she might land in trouble.
