Idiot

The Mansion of Black.

"Idiot." Shera tsked and reclined on the armrest, holding a silvery iPad and wondering amusedly just how one could afford such a stupid brain. Couldn't he see that everything was going too easily? If something that was usually hella difficult suddenly happened so easily, only an idiot like Cedric would think it was luck.

She called Purple and told her what to do next. When she was done, she still felt it was boring. "I set a trap and he fell right in within seconds." she twitched her lips to complain. What kind of oponent was that?

Instead of creating a whole new Alias for Purple, she had instead chosen to use Purple's alias in CT Corporation, Elena. That was a bait that Cedric was surely going to fall for in the blink of an eye. After all, even his bodyguard could be tricked into getting the fake information she had set up for Elena. Did they think it was that easy to investigate someone from La Rose Noire?

"This is so boring. You should just kill him the next time you see him." Shera said with an absolutely bored expression.

Purple was shocked stiff, her palms quickly becoming sweaty. She didn't mean, it right?

[Master, if you harbor such thoughs, all your virtue progress will reset to zero.] Tazja warned.

Shera knitted her brows. "Why would that happen?"

[It's only logical, master. No matter how many good things you do, everyone will forget them as soon as you make one mistake. It's the same here too.]

Shera shrugged, not intending to talk or think about that anymore. She knew that better than anyone.

"Go with the initial plan." She finally, reluctantly instructed Purple.

"Yes." Purple bowed slightly before leaving the room.

Shera tossed her iPad aside and brought her slender fingers to her temples to massage them.

Heavens knew how badly she wanted to just kill everyone and be done with it. It would be cruel but compared to all those things the Qin family did to her...

She did not want to think about those. No matter what, the Qins should not be left alive. They should not have the chance to do that to anyone else. Who knows... maybe they already did... the more reason to eliminate them.

Shera was pulled out of her thoughts when Purple came back. "Master, something huge happened. The Qin family bought ten percent of shares from one of CT Corporation's shareholders."

Shera glanced over at Purple, her face devoid of expression.

Before she could speak, Purple stated the next part of her report. "The shares were bought by Leo Qin."

"What did you say?" She sat up with shock.

Jade Mansion

Leo entered his study and closed the door behind him, then he slammed the share transfer contract onto his desk with a thud. He had just bought the shares from CT Corporation under instructions from his parents. However, something about it felt so wrong, like he was doing something he shouldn't and betraying someone he shouldn't.

He forcefully pushed the thought off his mind and glanced at a crystal box at one side of the desk. It had been there for ages like a lucky charm of sorts.

He opened it like he used to do in the past when he felt unsettled, empty, or he missed her too much. Inside the box lay several pink, purple and baby blue envelopes; all with his name written on top in a girlish handwriting. They were all worn out even though he had taken care of them: because it had been so many years. It was even surprising that he still had them. These were the letters Lola liked writing to him, and she did even when she had a phone.

His heart slightly calming down, he took out a purple envelope from the pile and opened it.

The content was nothing but a silly [If I got bullied by bad guys, would you laugh at me? Or would you be my knight in shining armor and kick their butt?] There was even a small T_T smiley at the end.

Leo smiled as the memory flooded into his head.

___

Ten years ago.

The two of them usually met at Leo's secret garden.

That day, Lola arrived later than their arranged time and in a bad mood, then she directly handed him the note and sat on her side of the bench, pouting.

Leo had to stiffle a laugh. Who writes a letter when they are going to meet the recipient?

He opened it and when he saw the content, he finally understood the reason for her bad mood. Patting her head, he gently asked, "did someone bully you?"

"Everyone does, Leo. I just cannot fit in. I can't fit in anywhere." she shrugged in defeat.

His heart broke from how sad she sounded... He almost couldn't find the right words. "Who said you don't fit in? Of course you do. Those idiots are the ones who need to be taught a lesson. Next time, be stronger and stand up to them, okay?"

"Hmph." She crossed her arms against her chest with a fierce look that only made her look cuter. "You just wait and see. I will revenge."

"Pffft! Hahahaha! Revenge? Hahahaha." Leo burst into laughter.

"Yes, what is up with that?"

Leo threw his head back, nursing his ribs. "Can a cute girl like you even think of revenge?"

Lola slapped his shoulder in annoyance. "It's not funny! Hey... stop laughing already! Haven't you heard of the saying?"

"What saying?" Leo asked through his laugh.

"When a woman starts to revenge, even the devil has to sit aside and take notes."
