Shera was not surprised when he called her by her real name. The man before her was Dilan Fort—the son of Imperium City's mayor, Louis Fort. Putting his identity aside, he and Shera knew each other personally from a certain unforgettable incident a few months ago. 

The woman sat down opposite him with an interesting expression. "I thought you would still be grieving but here you are, smiling so brightly." 

"And why the heck would I be grieving?" he held his chin between his thumb and forefinger. 

Shera chuckled. "You don't have to act strong. I understand how sad you must be. Being a widower isn't an enjoyable feeling." 

The man's pupils dilated as he sat straight and scrutinized the woman before him. "You are just as heartless as everyone says. You killed my wife, and now you are trying so hard to rub salt in my wounds?"
