Chapter 4

...

Sitting cross-legged outside the fishing vessel at the forecastle deck, Yun Rong held her left hand over her left ear. In front of her eyes, she carefully reads again all of the information stored in the suit and the things she has read in those manuals she has burned.

She is still feeling a bit desperate to know her true identity and thought that somehow she missed something. But she knew that she has not missed anything and this is just to console her feelings.

The shortest crew member said something that she suddenly remembers.

"Maybe you're a soldier… You just don't remember. From the way you fought and… you saving us from those pirates. Maybe you are someone from the special forces…"

That was what he said and the other seems to agree with this.

And so, she once again desperately tries to learn about her past and who she really is. However, all she could learn from these things are functions of stuff that she has not even seen before and those that she already knew.

With a helpless sigh, she stopped.

Looking around the sea in front of her, she felt a little lost.

"What am I to do next?" she muttered to herself.

Suddenly, she heard someone walking from behind.

"Ahem… Little… Little Rongrong…" Mister Ji said with a hint of hesitation in his tone.

"Thank… Thank you for saving us... For saving... me... And… And I'm sorry." He said with an awkward smile on his face.

He is a little ashamed of what he has tried to do to her before, and he wanted to at least thank her for saving his life.

"You're welcome…" she replied without turning around.

Upon hearing her words, Mister Ji showed a faint smile on his face. He then returns to the cabin.

Half an hour later, Yun Rong decided to get inside the cabin.

She saw four men sitting around the makeshift table while playing cards. Meanwhile, the captain and Mister Ji are on the bridge.

Yung Rong does not like to talk too much, so she just walks to the corner where there is a black duffle bag under her bunk bed.

She did not say anything and just put the duffle bag on top of the makeshift table.

"Hey, Rongrong! We're playing here!"

"Yeah… I was about to win… You little girl…"

Yun Rong did not say anything and just grab the zipper of the bag and opens it in front of the men.

Upon doing this, the four men sitting around the table, look at her with confusion. But when their gazes landed on the opened bag, their jaws almost hit the floor.

"Holy shit!" the captain who at that time came down from the bridge suddenly cried aloud as he almost fell when he saw the bag's content.

"This… this…"

"What is this?"

"Money… Lots and lots of money…"

The crew was a bit surprised and feels a hint of excitement in their eyes.

Yun Rong did not say anything. She has already taken her cut because she knew that she needed the cash once the fishing vessel landed on the docks.

"Rongrong… what is the meaning of this?" the captain who has already reached the group asked while looking at Yun Rong with a perplexed expression.

"This money came from the pirates… I took them…" Yung Rong said as she took a few steps back and leaned on the wall while crossing her arms.

Her ample bosom bulges upon doing so but no one noticed this as their eyes are glued on the black duffle bag.

"There are even pieces of jewelry and gadgets in here!" the smallest of the group exclaimed.

Everyone swallowed hard as they could not believe their eyes.

"What is… happening?..." Mister Ji climbs down from the bridge but did not finish his words as his eyes also noticed the things inside the bag.

"Yun Rong… What do you want to do? This is yours in the first place, we did not do anything…" the captain which has a sense of propriety said.

Although he could not deny the fact that he is feeling a hint of excitement, nervousness, and interest in those things, he still wanted to maintain his dignity as a captain of the ship.

"You divide it amongst yourselves…" she just said.

"What? Then what about you?" the captain feels a bit surprised and asked while looking at her.

"I already got my cut…" Yun Rong said with a slight smile while pointing at the bunk bed.

Everyone looks at the bed, then under it.

And there they saw a small black bag.

"Alright… we can divide the money. But the pieces of jewelry and the gadgets… those are hard to dispose of." Mister Ji said with a slight frown on his face.

"Maybe we can sell them to the black market…" someone suggested.

"Hmm… we can, I know a place in Sanya city… But…" Mister Ji said but hesitated to continue.

"You mean… Old Jung's shop?" the captain interjected.

Mister Ji nodded.

The rest of the crew kept their silence. They too knew of that mysterious shop in the city. It is a well-known shop where illegal goods are sold and bought. The authorities dare not touch those people because of their connection with the higher-ups.

But the dangerous thing about that shop is if you gained their attention, they would surely investigate your origin and would even try to get you to spill out more of the things you have, forcefully.

"We cannot sell those things in the black market, it's too dangerous. Our families would be in danger." The captain said while shaking his head while he combed his fingers through his head full of white hair.

While the group is in dilemma, Yung Rong suddenly asked.

"What else does the black market offer? Do they make fake identity papers?"

When the people around her heard this, they look at each other and seem to understand something.

"Do you want to have a fake identity?" Mister Ji asked with a serious expression.

"Yes, temporarily until I recover my true one."

"That would not be hard… the black market can do that. But… it is a bit dangerous… I suggest going to another place." Mister Ji suggested.

"It's okay... Alright, it's settled then… I will take those things to the black market, give me the address… And give me all of your bank accounts." She suggested.

The rest felt a bit awkward, but they have no other suggestion.

"No… you can keep the money… We have more than enough in here… Thank you…" the captain suddenly said as he walks near her and patted her shoulder while showing a gentle smile.

"You just remember to be careful while in that place. It is not a safe place for women…" Mister Ji added on the side.

That night, the group divided the money on the table with a happy atmosphere. Each of them received around 70,000 dollars.

"Haha… with this money, I can now support my little sister in her schooling. Thank you… thank you, little Rongrong!"

"I want to go home and buy a plot of a farm for my parents… Hehe…"

"Well, for me, I want to buy my girlfriend something and treat her to an expensive restaurant for a change."

"For me, I just want to buy some delicious food… I will eat to my heart's content…"

The four fellow talks happily as they shared what they wanted to do with their money. This is the first time that they were able to get their hands on such a huge amount of cash. As normal people, it is seldom that they could earn as such, so feeling a bit elated at this point in time is normal.

"How about you captain? What do you want to do?" one of them asked.

"Me… Hmm… Let's see… Maybe, I will try to fix this baby of mine…" the captain said while patting the wall of this ship.

The fishing vessel is an old fishing trawler that the captain has gotten after a few of his friends polled all of their money and bought one many years ago. After his friends decided to stop going to sea, the captain slowly paid them off and now he owns the fishing vessel for himself.

The old ship is already battered and needed some fixing. So the money is literally a timely welcome for him.

"That's right… Captain if you wanted we can also help you…" one of them suddenly said.

"No need lads… just enjoy your money… I'm already old. My children already have their own lives… So for me, this is for the best…"

The captain then looks at Mister Ji.

The rest did not want to ask what he wanted to do with his money. This is because most of them already knew the answer to that.

Feeling the gaze of the people on him, Mister Ji blushed, as his gaze landed on Yun Rong who is also looking at him.

"Ahem… I'm going to the bridge to check on things…" he said running away.

The crew chuckled seeing him leaving just like that.

"We need to buy new phones since our phones have been fried in that storm… I wonder what causes that large electric surge at that time…"

"Yeah, me too… It was really weird… The sky just suddenly turned dark and then the storm hits us when we least expected it. Before we knew it, it was all too late…"

Yun Rong's attention was caught by their discussion. Ever since that day, the group did not talk about what happened that night a week ago.

That is the result when they experienced that strange storm that night that she was found.

While listening, she did not show any interest and just looks outside the window.

"Guys… at that time… I was actually on the bridge looking behind the ship… I saw something falling from the sky… I did not know what it was but it actually almost hit our ship…" the shortest crew member said.

They all look at him with disbelief in their eyes.

"Rubbish! If that is true, then why did we not hear any loud splash or any booming sound?"

"Yeah, that's right? Why did not say anything at that time…"

The guy seemed a little flustered as he did not know how to answer them. In fact, he himself could not believe it at that time and even tried rubbing his eyes. But it all happened too quickly that he did not see it clearly.

But deep in his heart, he knew what he saw at that time. And the reaction of the crew members is exactly how he predicted it.

"From the skies… Something fell from the skies…" Yun Rong thought but still could not understand nor remember anything about it, so she just shrugged her shoulders and continue watching the sea wave.

The next day, the fishing vessel arrives near the port of Sanya at around noon.

Yun Rong helped the crew to unload their cargo. Seeing a very beautiful young woman helping the men with equal strength as theirs amazed the people in the port. Yun Rong is a sight to behold for them as she is not only beautiful but also very strong. So how could those men in the port not look at her?

Some are even ogling her while she helps to unload those heavy boxes with efficiency. They are even envious of the crew of the fishing vessel for having such beauty with them while fishing.

When the captain approaches a buyer for the pricing, he was immediately asked.

"Who is that beauty Captain Fa?" he asked.

The captain turned his gaze at Yun Rong and showed a faint smile.

"She is my granddaughter… She likes fishing, so I let her tag along this time…"

"Wow… I never knew you have such a beautiful granddaughter… Hehe…"

After unloading, Yun Rong step off the fishing vessel and bade her farewell to the group.

After that, she directly went to the market. She remembers the instruction that the captain and the rest of the crew gave her. They were worried about her but she still insisted on going to that place. She knew that she could not trouble them further than she already has.

This time she would figure things out for herself.
