Crimes and...

The two dodged away with Misty trying to take control of the flames but failing and Alica doing her best not to touch them. Logan lunged at them as they dodged, aiming for Alica first since she was the more dangerous opponent. Logan engaged her, doing his best to incapacitate her before dealing with Misty. He managed to remove one of her arms and most of her left leg while cauterizing the wound, searing them closed to keep her from bleeding out.

.

During this time, Misty was looking around the kitchen, seeing the highchair and partially made breakfast made her pause. Then a look of realization donned on her.

.

Misty: "Alica was lying." Misty muttered to herself as certain pieces of the puzzle she had started forming in her head. "He didn't kill them..." She then sighed. "I knew she was a liar."

.

Thirty minutes passed since Alica and Misty attacked. Since then, a plethora of things had happened. First, the fire was put out. Several rooms were destroyed and several floors too, namely the floor above and below Logan and Glynda's shared dorm. Logan was more annoyed that his breakfast was interrupted than the fact that their home was destroyed.

.

Second, Misty and Alica had 'escaped' during the fight with Logan. There being only Alica's arm and part of her leg being the only evidence that they were ever there. In reality, Logan had messaged Magus to send someone to quickly come and collect them before they were discovered, having extended the battle longer than it actually went on. 02 was the one who came and teleported the two of them out of there.

.

Third, the damage done to the dorms caused them to be unsafe for use. While only a few floors were directly damaged, some parts were destroyed due to the heat of the fire causing the entire structure to be compromised. Forcing those that bunked there to find homes for the foreseeable future. For Logan, Glynda, and Dorothy; this was the more of an inconvenience since Glynda's apartment was still under contract in her name. Allowing them to just need to buy new clothes for them and toys for Dorothy. Logan was just glad that her favorite toy, a bird plushy, was safe and sound.

.

Currently, however, Logan was getting chewed out by Salem for even fighting inside the dorms and going for killing blows. Ozpin was busying himself by going over what can and can't be cut so that the dorms that were destroyed could be upgraded after they were rebuilt. Doing his best to keep his head down from the fire that was happening not too far from his desk.

.

Salem: "I still can't think what went through your mind when you fought!" Salem shouted at Logan who stood there taking it. "You could have destroyed one wall, taken them outside, and fought there. Where it wouldn't have mattered how much you destroyed. But inside? That is what I can't figure out! What were you thinking?!"

Logan: "I was thinking of my family." Logan said, his voice even despite all the shouting directed at him. "They were the target, not me, them." He pointed out. "So, when you asked what, there's what. Plus you know my abilities, I wouldn't have fought if there was a chance of collateral damage. You know this." He sighed. "And I know that if you were in my place, you would have done the same."

Salem: "..." Salem didn't say anything at first, knowing that Logan was right. "Fine, you're right. I would do the same."

Logan: "I'm not trying to make you see it from my side." Logan sighed. "I'm just trying to make you understand what I did. If I had any other choice, I would have taken it. But I didn't. Having to rebuild the dorm is just a small price to pay. Hell, if it's too much I'll throw in some cash to help with the rebuilding process."

.

Ozpin: "That won't be necessary." Ozpin took this time to speak up. "I just got a message from Ironwood, saying that he'll pay for the repairs on one condition."

Logan: "Let me guess, it involves me, doesn't it?" Logan sighed.

Glynda: "I wouldn't be surprised." Glynda finally said, who was keeping Dorothy quiet since the fight and now clothed properly. She, on Logan's behest, had kept a set of clothes in her office in case her's got ruined.

Ozpin: "He wants Logan to build trust between Atlas and Menagerie since they are rapidly becoming a Kingdom in their own right." Ozpin said. "Namely by going on behalf of the Council of Kingdoms and selecting a 'King' to govern them from the populous. He hopes that this will help some of the animosity between the two."

Logan: "So he wants me to be a messenger for something they already are?" Logan asked stupefied.

Glynda: "He probably wants something out of this." Glynda thought out loud. "Menagerie does have a lot of untapped resources that they haven't touched yet. He probably wants to get them cheaply or at a lower cost them market prices."

Logan: "I don't doubt that. He is the type to put Atlas ahead of everything else." Logan mused.

Salem: "Is there anything else he could want?" Salem asked.

Ozpin: "Possibly the plans of how they grew so much during this last decade." Ozpin threw his two Lien in.

Logan: "I'll talk to him before I head out." Logan finally decided after a bit of thought. "I still have to put together a few things here and there before I can head out. Plus, I have to go shopping for all new clothes. I lost almost all of mine in the fire."

Glynda: "I only have the spare set I kept in my office in case I needed to change." Glynda agreed with Logan and pointed out her plight. "Plus, I don't have any for Dorothy here either."

.

The meeting ended soon after with Salem willing to go with Glynda shopping for clothes while Logan would get his later as he had to call Ironwood to get things situated on who he wanted as Menagerie's 'King'. Logan sighed as he knew it was going to be a lot of paperwork to finalize everything, something that he hoped that he could pawn off on the new king. Once outside, Logan went off to a secluded corner of Beacon's campus and called Ironwood's personal scroll.

.

Ironwood sighed as he read over the latest report of his most recent problem, Jacques Gelé the now divorced man who once ran the SDC. Ever since the divorce, the man has been a one-man army taking over small-time dust shops and mining operations. The SDC has been running interference but the man kept going with seemingly endless support from some unknown backer. The worst part was the fact that the backer was almost impossible to find. It was as if any lead that came close to finding out who they were, seemingly vanished without a trace.

.

Ironwood: 'Only if we could bring in Jacques, that would make things so much easier.' Ironwood sighed, 'But everything he does is legal. If I have him brought in, it would be a nightmare with PR. Plus Atlas can't deal with backlash if this turned into-' His thoughts were interrupted when his scroll started ringing. "Hello?"

Logan (On-call): "Ironwood." Logan responded

Ironwood: "Logan, I was expecting this call sooner or later." Ironwood told him.

Logan: "Then you better start explaining."

.

Ironwood sighed and started explaining from the top, starting with Jacques' divorce with Willow taking everything and leaving him with nothing. He believed that would be the end of him but that's when Ironwood found out that a backer was supporting Jacques. Since the divorce, Ironwood began explaining Jacques' actions.

.

Logan: "Let me get this straight." Logan sighed heavily. "Jacques has been going around and doing all this, yet you haven't brought him in on all the charges of slavery he was doing during his time as the SDC's president?" Logan asked.

Ironwood: "We have, and he should be in jail as we speak," Ironwood told Logan. "But, the b*stard used several old laws that haven't been used in decades to keep out of jail. Once I was notified about it, I've been doing all I can to have those laws removed. And as of yesterday, they are."

Logan: "And I'm guessing now that he's going by Gelé, he pretty much innocent?" Logan asked.

Ironwood: "He's clean as of now, but I do have a team watching over his actions as we speak." Ironwood told Logan. "The instant-"

Logan: "Don't bother, I'm calling in a few favors." Logan cut him off. "You should have a report on every illegal thing he's done since his divorce on your desk by tomorrow. He isn't going to walk for his crimes, he's gonna suffer."

.

Ironwood went to say something to Logan but couldn't as Logan had hung up. He sighed knowing that Logan would be true to his word and that Jacques would finally get his due. Ironwood just hoped that the report didn't come with Jacques' head along with it. Not that he would have minded, it would have just made a mess of things.

.

.

Logan: "I'll make sure the money gets to you, Lil' Miss." Logan told her. "Just make sure that the info is on Ironwood's desk by tomorrow, or just give it to the group watching Jacques Gelé."

Lil' Miss: "Not a problem, Logan." Lil'Miss Malacite's voice spoke through Logan's scroll. "It'll take some time to scrape it all in one go, but getting that much to convict him won't be a problem. Ironwood will be dancing about this, this time tomorrow."

Logan: "Thanks for making this a rush order." Logan thanked her. "Junior wouldn't get what I needed in time. But I knew you would with ease."

Lil' Miss: "Careful Logan, flattery will get you nowhere with me." Lil' Miss teased Logan.

Logan: "You know that I'm loyal to only one woman." Logan shot back.

Lil' Miss: "I know, I know." Lil' Miss pacated. "Tell her I said hi, it's been good doing business with you Logan. See ya."

Logan: "Goodbye" Logan bid her goodbye and hung up.

.

Logan sighed. It had yet been more than a few hours since Alica and Misty's attack and Logan felt as if he had been fighting all day long. And he still had more to do. Starting by flying to Menagerie to set it up as the Kingdom it was always meant to be.

.

Logan sighed again, just realizing how much crap he had on his plate. Looking through his scroll for any flights or ships that were heading towards Menagerie netted him nothing. Sighing again, Logan just figured he'll take his Pelican there and back since he didn't want to fly there with his wings. Then he remembered that he had torn it apart to make way for upgrades he had designed.

.

Logan: "Son of a-"

Ruby: "Watch the language!" Ruby interrupted Logan.

Logan: "Ruby, I kind of need it at the moment." Logan sighed before turning around and facing the entirety of Team RWBY. "What can I do for you girls?"

Yang: "We were hoping to barrow your Pelican." Yang asked. "Since the fire, a lot of the classes were canceled in order to check over the school for any more damage."

Weiss: "We're hoping to head over to Menagerie to relax for the week we were given." Weiss explained.

Blake: "Ruby and Yany wanted to play on the beaches and go sightseeing, while Weiss was asked by her mother to make contact with the new White Fangs to establish a good working relationship with Kuo Kunna. I just want to visit my parents." Blake bluntly told him of their plains, getting affronted looks from her team.

Logan: "Well, the Pelican is in pieces." Logan told them, getting sadden looks. "But, if you help me put it back together, I'll bring you guys there and back since I need to go there myself."

Ruby: "All in favor?" Ruby asked, getting agreement from her team. "Then what are we waiting for?" She then asked Logan.

Logan: "Just you guys." Logan told them and walked off in the direction of where his Pelican was located.
