Early in the morning when the sky was still dark Leon got up. He made sure he had everything and left the inn. The city was still bustling with many people walking around.
Leon left through the gates and went towards the Flowing Blood Mountain. He didn't summon his beast other beast. He just let the Frost snake that was on his head continue to cultivate. He did remove the disguise on it.
Leon also removed the Formless Body art used on himself. He went back to being the white hair and grey eyes ice man.
Since he had already scouted everything Leon went straight to the location using the shortest route.
He reached the top of the mountain. It was flat with no plant life, only a few rocks propped up gave variety to the landscape. The ground had red ice cover it. The ice had changed because of the Blood energy in the surrounding.
At the edge Leon could see the clouds below him. Forming a wispy layer with the sun peeling out in the distance.
"More people will be coming soon. Better get ready."
Leon sat down and started training. He was absorbing energy form the surrounding. He started running the third throne of the Nine Thrones soul technique.
The mountain peek was such an abandoned location that it had a high density of energy just collect on it.
"Still not enough to break through. Looks like I'm slowly going to reach the pace of my past life cultivation by the time I reach three fifth throne."
The Frost snake also absorbed the energy. It felt an abundance of ghost energy and so it was thrilled.
Leon had found a place next a rock where he had sat down and started cultivating. He stopped caring about the world and using Formless aura created an aura of danger around himself.
"No one should approach me now." He then zoned out into cultivating.
Slowly more and more groups of people came to the mountain peek. All form different clans. Most of them fire element and blood element cultivators. There were even a few of the other elements making them stand out.
A group of four young men and women stood out as they all wore a green uniform with a tree emblem on their clothes.
"Isn't that Orion, the most talented of the FallenLeaf Clan. I heard he awakened a seven void star beast the Viridescent Twinkling Fox."
"I've seen that Fox beast of his. It's so strong! He'll probably easily win the three continental competition between the Fire, Blood and Nature continents."
The boy who they were talking about had dark green hair. He heard everyone talking about himself he just smirked in secret. He judged the group of people in front of him. Nothing really caught his attention. That was until he saw Leon in the corner alone.
"Wierd, why is there an Ice element cultivator here? I can't even tell what his cultivation is. Hera use your Nature Sight ability on him."
A girl wearing a green long dress said "Sure" She walked a bit and then covered her eyes with her hands. She then opened her fingers a little letting her see through. She did this to hide her eyes. Behind her hands her eyes had turned completely green like some beast.
She watched Leon. She could see the energy inside Leon and the snake on his head. They both had the coldest energy she had ever felt. Then as she tried to see his cultivation she felt an even colder chill. The snake on Leon's head woke up it stared back at Hera. It's eyes had transformed from the translucent black to a pitch Black swirling vortexes.
Caught off guard she had stared into them. She felt Like a blade to her throat. She stopped using Nature Sight and fell to the ground. Orion looked at her confused.
"Are you okay? What happen?"
She took a deep breath and got up "I couldn't tell their cultivation. That Frost snake I can't tell what it's potential is, only that it's stronger then your Horrific Flower Beast."
"Really that strong? It hasn't even reached orangestar. I can't tell that boys potential but the Frost snake isn't anything to be worried about."
"I'm just telling you what I saw." She then walked back and thought about that feeling. Other then the snake she felt a strong killing aura from the boy as well.
Leon who had been sitting the whole time interacting was talking to the Frost Snake.
"Well done. That is exactly how Death Stare works. Although I let you practice it using my Slaughter qi. I won't be able to do it again. Make use of this and learn it."
Death Stare was an ability the Ghost Dragons could learn. It was also something that Blackeyed Ghost Snake kept when they devolved from dragons. Leon had noticed that the Frost Snake wasn't a hybrid beast like he had first thought. After cultivating with it for so long he felt like he couldn't understand much about it.
Leon used it using Death Stare as a test. After seeing its eyes he was sure ite wasn't a Blackeyed Ghost Snake. In books it has been depicted that when the Blackeyed Ghost Snake uses Death Stare it's eyes turn a murky yellow. While a Ghost Dragons are shown to turn into Black holes. He was sure this snake had some type of connection to a Ghost Draogn. This connection was much stronger then he thought.
Leon kept his thoughts to himself and continued to cultivate.
Outside people had seen Hera fall. Many stared at her a few even laughing. The more perceptive of the bunch turned to look at Leon.
In the crowd Pace walked up to Orion.
"Orion, Good to see you! I have heard so much about your amazing achievements." Pace held out his hand for a handshake.
Orion didn't shake Pace's hand. He just replied "You must be Pace, you should also be participating in the three continental Competition in three years. Hopefully the Fire continent participants won't be as weak as they were two years ago."
Pace held his cool. "We'll be fine. I hope the Nature continent doesn't have as many disqualifications as Last time as well." Pace took back his hand and turned to leave. However as he did this he saw Bly walking towards him.
"Pace, you are already leaving come let's continue the chat. Orion you are being a little too unfriendly, No?"
Orion looked at Bly with disgust "Bly as a Bloodling I expected you to be stronger then a Flamesmith at least. You are disappointing me. I can already see the Bloodling Family falling."
"Orion I don't see where you get judge the Bloodling Clan. The Fallen Leaf Clan was only a small Clan barely of anyone's notice. The only talented person would be you. I should remind you the Nature continent hasn't won the three continental competition in the last two competitions and it won't be winning this time either."
Orion was unfazed by Bly. He didn't respond either. He just ignored the
Bly turned to leave. Pace shook his head as he walked away.
"I was trying to avoid fighting before we entered but looks like we can only trust ourselves."
Anastasia who heard this said "No choice If the person you are talking is so arrogant."
Pace then over it and lightened up the tension building up by talking with the training team that had come with him.
Leon in his corner got up. As he did a large cloud suddenly formed, blocking all the sun light.
He walked to the nearby oddly shaped stone. He gave it a quick push and caused it to fall. Using is as a form of platform he jumped on it and said loudly. "Blood is the water of life yet the representation of death." In a weird recitation tone.
Everyone turned to look at him. They looked at him like a crazy person. Why was he suddenly shouting?
A beam fell from the sky and he disappeared.
Everyone's jaw dropped they had no idea what just happened. They turned to look up. The cloud broke and an enormous floating island could be seen.
