Leon met up with Flint and Chloe on the spot they had decided.
"Leon what was this detour for?"
"I just wanted to check my luck again by seeing if there was another beast I could contract. Sadly I couldn't find it."
Flint sympathized "I know how you feel, it's always those lucky bastards that get all the good beast."
Leon looked at him and thought "Why are you complaining? You got all you're beast basically by getting lost and running into them."
The walke was quick. They had left the Main battlefield and things got comfortable. They reached the base. It was mainly built horizontally. It had around two floors and had many towers surround.
Leon and the others shows their badges and Lightning Army tattoo and were allowed in. They then found the place to redeem their Battle Meirts.
A crystal like screen was placed and showed all the things you could buy and their prices.
Ten thousand Battle Meirts was a lot for their needs. It could most things. The most expensive thing was for a million Battle Meirts and it was the Golden Lightning Fruit.
Something that caught Leon's eye was Soul dew. You could buy a drop for one thousand Battle Meirts. Other then that he saw Lighning growth fruit and Holy radiance fruit.
The Lighning growth fruit would be perfect for his two new beasts, the Lightning Spirit Butterfly and the Lightning Griffin. It would level the butterfly up to orangestar level instantly while the Griffin would increase by five levels.
The Holy radiance fruit was good for the Blood Harpy, if he gave her one she would be able to form Holy energy faster.
There was a problem. The Lightning Growth fruit was for five thousand. While the radiance fruit was for eight thousand. Leon bought radiance fruit and two drops of soul dew.
He decided that the at the Great Library the Lighning energy was dense and was good enough for his beast to level up with using the soul dew.
Flint bought a Burning Golden Flame fruit for all of his ten thousand merits and Chloe bought four soul dew and a shadow fruit.
Chloe left to find a place to cultivate. Flint was about to do the same but Leon called him over.
"Flint I want you to come with me. I know an amazing place to cultivate."
Flint was surprised but noticed that Leon didn't want to bring Chloe along.
"Shouldn't we tell Chloe about this place as well. She's been with us for so long."
Leon shook his head, and was hoping Flint would take the hint. He knew Flint wouldn't just leave.
"Tell Chloe about it as well. This is the place. I'll go first and wait for you. I'll wait until sunset so make sure you come."
Leon then left the army base while flint went to find Chloe.
Going further north of the Lightning army base you would reach a beach. This wasn't the same beach Leon had washed up on. Rather it was on the opposite side of the continent. This beach was the meeting spot Leon had told Flint about. Leon sat to the side, found cover and summoned the Blood Harpy.
He gave her the Holy radiance fruit and cultivated the Vampiric Blood Art. The Harpy happily at here fruit and also started cultivating. No big change happened. The sun moved through the sky and set.
He stopped cultivating. He had reached the peak of the Vampiric Blood Art. The harpy stopped cultivating with him. If any thing the red that covered became a lighter tint.
"Anything happened."
The harpy nodded. She put out her hand a small dot of light floated above it.
"You finally have holy energy!"
The harpy nodded vigorously. With the Holy energy it could feel its bloodline activating much more. It felt that it could absorb holy energy now and soon would be able to use Holy magic.
Leon felt someone was approaching so he unsummoned the Harpy. It was Flint and Chloe who were running. Seeing Leon still waiting there tired faces grew happy.
"Leon I'm so sorry we're late-"
"Leave that for later, follow me." Leon said. He then walked towards the water.
"We're going to have to swim. Both of you grab my arms. Don't get separated when we get far from shore. Beast in the ocean are strong."
The two nodded. They grabbed Leon tightly. Theorist really know where Leon was taking them but they trusted him after seeing him as their leader. He had some kind secret that made sure he was always successful.
Leon and the three walked into the water and then eventually dived in.
Under the water it was dark and silent. Leon and the others swam. Leon controlled the direction.
As cultivators they could hold their breaths for much longer. They didn't even need to breath if they had enough energy. The currents underwater got strong. Leon used the eruption rune to propel himself forward with the two hanging on.
Leon then entered an underwater cave. He then jumped out with the two. Everyone started taking heavy breaths.
"Good job! You two held out. I guess you both have more energy then the normal summoning scholars."
Flint caught his breath then shouted "Leon I thought you told me we were going to find a cultivation are not a cave under the ocean!"
Chloe was on the ground flat. She was way too tired to speak.
"The place is right ahead. You guys should rest a minute or two then we'll go."
Flint looked into the cave but couldn't see any thing. He didn't believe Leon. But since he made it this far he might as well go the whole way.
Chloe finally sat up and could move again. She took out a drop soul dew she had left for later and used it to cultivate.
After an hour of watching them recover Leon made a move.
"Now don't touch anything, just follow. You see anything interesting, don't touch it."
The two nodded. The path was straight. Half through Chloe stopped and started running towards the cave wall. Leon and Flint ran after. Leon ran up behind her and pulled her back. She was attracted to the wall and couldn't get her eyes off it.
Leon formed a sleeping rune and put her to sleep. He then carries her over her shoulder.
Flint asked "What happened to her?"
"A simple hypnosis rune. It caused her to be uncontrollably attracted to something on the wall. She saw something precious while we saw nothing."
"I think I should carry you as well. How about it? You'll wake up at the cultivation spot."
"No thanks, I think I'll be fine but if I do get hypnotized you can carry me then."
"Sure."
Leon and Flint walked forward. Leon was surprised by the strength of the hypnosis runes. He had seen them before when he found the Library. They were weaker and looked like they had been here for centuries. He had thought it was a test created by the people who made the Library. Now they looked new.
"So it was made by someone recently. But how did they get that timed feeling, like it's gone through centuries." Leon thought. "An ancient brush could do it, but why would use a heavenly treasure for something so useless?"
Leon and Flint reached a large hole that led deeper into the cave. They went down and reached a path. When they were close Flint also started getting Hypnotized but Leon was ready. He put him to sleep and carried him.
"Some came here saw they couldn't open the Library and left these as a trap. When you go and touch the walls a spike will impale you without you even knowing. You'll die thinking you got the thing you wanted."
Leon was genuinely surprised. He didn't think it would be this strong. In his past life it was easy. Thousands of people were able to go through. Many of those people at less mental strength then Flint and Chloe.
But there was a reason only thousands of people were able to go through as the others couldn't pass. He remembered seeing someone get impaled by the spike and then get absorbed into the wall. Everything returned to how it was before.
A few steps away from the door Leon started to see things as well. He however powered through.
As he ran his body changed direction and started running to the wall. On the wall he saw a portal to a perfect life. Leon stamped one of his foot into the ground and spun In the direction of the door.
Water started to burst into the cave. Leon saw that he had stepped on a trap. It wasn't normal water rather Heavy compressed water. It was almost impossible to move through. Each drop weighed more then a ton. Leon summoned the Dragon. It barely fit in the cave. Leon had it take Flint and Chloe. It then cave him push using ice energy and entered the other realm.
Leon was launched and reached the door. He quickly took out the key and unlocked tried to unlock it. The water level rose and covered his hand. He could barely move the hand. The process slows exponentially. Soon his whole arm was covered and then until his neck. He felt his whole chest ready to collapse the door opened the Dragon appeared and entered. Leon had it close the doors.
Leon put the key back in his spatial ring. He had Flint and Chloe lay down.
Leon unsummoned the Dragon. He would have loves to just enter using other realm but he couldn't as the libraries didn't exist in the other realm. It was something he had read about in the past. It was about keeping them purified.
After recovering and having all the water come off him Leon clicked his tongue "Looks like a lot of people had found the entrance bit since no one could enter they left behind traps so anyone else that finds the Library will die."
Leon was sure this was the case because the rune that led for the water to spill in was created by a completely different person.
"Looks like many people are going to come in the future and waste the energy in the runes. It was why when I came there less traps."
Flint and Chloe finally woke up. They looked around to see themselves in a large hall. The air was thick with Lighning Energy. The walls were covered with books. It was weird as the walls seem to rise high up. There were easily more then ten million books in the library.
They looked at Leon for him foreplay where they are.
"This is a great Library, the Ephemeral Lighning Great Library."
They both had there jaws drop. Flint recover first.
"Really! How did you know where this was? Isn't The there like heaven grade arts in the Great libraries." He started running around pulling books put.
Chloe got up and asked "What happened to me?" Leon explained everything to her.
"Thank you!" The she also went to look through the books.
Leon looked at the ground. There was large formation. This was the teleportation Formation that would send him to the Fire Continent. Unlike the low grade formation he used to come here. This formation could teleport you any where as long as you knew the spatial coordinates. It also didn't need something to power it as it had an energy absorbing formation embedded in it.
Leon also could have added an energy absorbing formation to the teleportation formation in the Ice Continent. However he would need spatial beast blood to draw it. He didn't know any spatial beast much less where to get their blood.
Leon looked at the hall properly. It was like the inside of the tower with how high it went. directly opposite to the door was a large mirror expanding up. It divided the shelves into a right and left side.
The hall was circular in shape. The middle part lowered in. That was where the teleportation Formation was. On its four directions was a stair case that led a little higher to the shelves, the door and mirror.
The books Leon wanted were at the very top. They were the three most valuable books in the Library.
In his past life Leon had gotten one. It was a soul technique, the Seven Colours of Lightning soul technique, it only had seven levels. He had no use for it as he already had the better soul technique, the nine thrones Soul Technique.
The other two were arts. One was called the Lightning Beast God's armor art. The other was called the Thunder Roc's Zap art.
Leon went to the side of the shelves and found a button. He pushed it in. The place where he was standing rose up and went high up to the top shelf.
Flint and Chloe watched in amazement and fright. It looked so dangerous. What would Leon go if he fell. On the way up Leon summoned the Lightning Griffin and the Lightning Spirit Butterfly.
The Beast were happy and started flying around. They enjoyed that dense energy and started cultivating.
Flint and Chloe saw this and summoned their beast as well. Chloe summoned her Lightning Shadow Cheetah and a Thunder Sprite. Flint summoned the Flaming Winged Unicorn. It was of the Fire element. But he wanted to evolve it into a dual element of Fire and Lightning.
At the top the shelves were empty. Leon could see that there were two books in fornt of him. They were the two arts. He took them and had the elevator slab take him down.
Flint and Chloe didn't sat anything. They already felt grateful for being brought here. Leon sat to the side and read the descriptions of the art.
Lightning Beast God's Armor art, low heavenly grade. Will create an armor of lightning for your beast. At completion the beast will be able to create an armor of similar quality to the Lightning God.
Thunder Roc's Zap art, half-step heavenly rank. This art will teach your beast, Lightning of Judgement, an ability from the heavenly beast called the Thunder Roc. Lightning of Judgement will destroy any beast in your path.
Leon kept the books in his spatial ring. "They are good. Really good."
Leon called his two beast in the air to him. He sat down and started cultivating the Lightning God's Armor art.
Heavenly arts were different from other arts as when you finish cultivating it you would have formed a runic formation rather then just a rune.
You would have to slowly add runes until it formed the ability. Leon decided to work with the Lightning Griffin. He wasn't planning on keeping the Butterfly the Lightning element, with its potential in becoming a Life element beast.
It took him a few hours and he formed the outline of the runic circle. The Lighting Griffin was already glowing with lightning forming a web around it.
"This will take longer then I thought." Leon had only created a superficial ability at the moment. The Lightning covering the body was weak and useless. He saw that in the book he would need to add ten thousand runes into the Runic formation. Each one would be harder then the last.
Leon stopped cultivating. He would slowly add more runes as time passed. Leon cave the his two beast a drop of soul dew and let them go back to cultivating.
Flint and Chloe had also found arts they Like. After seeing Leon use the slab elevator, they used it as well and found strong arts.
They say and cultivated with their beasts.
Leon let them cultivate and went back to the top of the shelf. Over there he started reading books. He flipped through and only read about things he didn't know. He sped through the books a she sat on the slap high in the Library.
As he was going through the books Leon ran into something interesting. It was a Black book. It was an art called- Gate Keeper of a Graveyard.
Leon read turn the first page "This art is a peak grade earth rank art. It was based on a beast of Death, the Basilisk. Without a death affinity do not cultivate the art or you will die. On completion of the art you will be able to imitate a Basilisk by summoning a domain of Death energy."
"Why didn't I see this art last time?" Leon thought about and came to the conclusion he missed it in all that rush for the top three arts.
Leon looked at the Griffin that was cultivating. He wondered how it met a Basilisk. A beast that was way beyond ten voidstars. He wouldn't have believed it but he had Seen it's memories. He saw the memory of the time when it could first see, the Griffin had seen a Black serpent. The serpent whispered something and then disappeared.
Leon kept the art. It looked useful. He went through more arts faster. Leon flipped through books and by the time he was down ten shelves a cracking sound could be heard. Soon Flint and Chloe had both broken into summoning teacher from summoning scholar.
