Irene and Oren had led the team with two other elders back to the Council of Fire.
Over their Leon found out that from the earthquake a few small towns had been leveled. He checked around and found out that Pace and Anastasia had recently left to check the situation of the Flamesmith Clan.
Leon and the others had been given some free time until everyone woke up and what they would do next was decided.
Leon didn't have enough time to go to the Flamesmith Clan so he just stayed at the Council of Fire. The winners were of the competition were given access to free resources to train until the decisions were made.
Leon got a bottle filled with Pure Lightning essence. He found a room to cultivate in with the Griffin.
The Chimera had returned in the night when he had been sleeping. Leon had left it as a Dreamfire tiger to fight all it wanted. It had also hidden from the beast during its spree of fighting. It was now resting in the Soul book.
Leon drank a few drops of Pure Lightning Essence and fed the rest to the Griffin. Leon then cultivated the Lightning God's Armor art. Leon formed 10 more runes. He brought the runes up to 50 out of 9999.
Leon left the room and went to the Fire Plane gate. He was called their with the rest of the team.
Leon saw that he was the last to arrive. Even Irene and Oren were there.
"Now you're all here." Oren said. "The Situation at Mount Vulcan is still unclear. It is likely that it will erupt soon so the training will be moved to another place. We will be training at the Fire Plane."
The ten were fine with the decision, The Fire Plane was a good place to cultivate.
"However there is some bad news. The Council has decided to move the tournament with the Substitute team forward to next week and have the teams leave for the nature continent soon."
The ten was not fine with that decision. But no one said anything.
"Let's not waste anymore time and start training." Oren and Irene brought everyone back into the Fire Plane.
"We will first just have one vs one matches."
As the first two people fought Leon watched from the side. Abigail approached him.
"Thanks for carrying me back to Camp."
"It was a task Teacher Irene gave me."
Abigail felt a little frustrated but she continued, "So what do you think about the battle with the Substitute team moved to a week away."
"I don't really mind, I'll win anyway."
Abigail couldn't disagree with that, she just stood with him and watched the fight.
The week went by quickly. It was spent fighting and training the team. They did group battles later and some team building exercises.
Leon had gotten to know everyone there. They had all accepted him as well. He had continued trying to make them compete with him. He had however toned it done and used other methods.
After the training session outside the Fire Plane gate. Everyone was ready to fight the Substitute team.
"All have you have done well, now I have one thing left to announce." The ten knew he was going to announce who the captain position was going to.
"The captain is Leon Flamesmith." The ten quickly accepted the decision. They congratulated Leon.
"Now let's go meet the Substitute team."
