Prologue Lara

Now it is time to look at the past where you will meet Lara, the Overseer and the Viceroy.

Just after the war turned in favour of the Westuroy in the 1st part of the war, The Overseer which is Martin Romanov and The Viceroy which is Mark Titus. They and their team after the war left the mainland and decided to reside on an Island that was one of the Westuroian Secret Bunkers given to Martin when he was a part of them. Still, after the Union Alliance was formed, the island that Martin was given was attacked by the UA[Union Alliance] They found that Martin was still on the island with some of his assistants working on an experiment. UA didn't come to attack but to ask Martin to join them in helping the world from Westuroy and Martin said Yes without even hesitating even once. He said yes because he didn't like what the Westuroian Government had planned ahead. Martin didn't tell anything that Westuroy had planned and neither did the representative of UA ask him but they knew it was going to be sinister. After they brought Martin to the Headquarters of the Union Alliance, they took him to meet the superiors of the Union Alliance they were called the "5 Proedros", it was called like that because among the 5 members in it are 3 ex-sergeants had taken part in the WW3, 1 was a privateer and lastly an ex-sergeant major who had taken part in 3 wars. After Martin was brought to them they asked him about what Westuroy was planning and he said, "I wish I could say but I always keep my word that is all I can say" and kept silent for the rest of the conversation of them accusing him of being an accomplice of the Westuroian Government and that he will be put to death if he doesn't say it. One of them understood what he was trying to say to them and then said, "Enough of this... I understand what you mean!", and then glared at him for a while as he was thinking, "This scientist is a committed person I would want him to join us and our cause but that will not be the case with the others... I think they will agree with me if it is to send him to exile and never to join with the Westuroian cause and if he does, they could put him to death then. I feel this would work... but... that is not it... I feel this one is also sinister but the same cause as us and that is why keeping him would do more good than bad to us", and then he said, "I feel he should join us! I was the reason he came here after all...", the other 4 were left in shock hearing what he had to say.

All 5 Proedros were covering their faces by wearing a hat.

The one who asked the special forces of the UA to go and find Martin was the ex-sergeant major, he always sees the good in others and also sees how much would the person be helpful to the goal. He is Zlatan Golovin. He was a Russian soldier during WW3.

The rest disagreed with him one of them saying, "You have to be kidding! Knowing you... I think you are serious aren't you?", then Golovin nodded yes. He then sighed and said, "AHHH! Ok, I get it! but that is not the case with my decision I still stand on saying this is nonsense", the others nodded in acceptance and then he looked around so that he was winning there in the decision and then continued and said, "All those who agree with me raise their hands!", All the others except Golovin raised their hands. Golovin knew it would go this way, So, he then said, "Then I propose an idea!" the others were annoyed with the idea of giving him another chance to let Martin stay.

The person who said he knew Golovin was one of the ex-sergeant. He was one of the students that studied under Golovin in the military, he was also one of the 4 privates that were part of WW3 that took down 300 men by themselves and he was the captain of them. He is Jamie Ian.

Private is the lowest of the lowest ranks given to a soldier in the military classes. The 4 privates that were involved in the war were Jamie, Rebecca, James and Danny.

Jamie had a clue what he was about to say, So, he let him speak with Jamie saying, "Alright then! let us hear what you've got to tell us now?"

Golovin knew the decision was going in favour of Jamie unless something changed. Then the ex-privateer stood up from his chair and said, "I object I feel like he has said enough, The old man is out of his mind if he thinks we will go along with what he says"

That annoyed Golovin and then he stood up and said, "Who are you calling an old man huh? Look at yourself, Shrimpy old man!", then they both just stared at each other with anger.

The person who called Golovin an old man is also an old man himself. he was an ex-privateer during the time of WW3 he was the one who commanded the fleets in the naval battle that was in favour of the USA. He is Ralf Bartold.

Even though they were rivals they believed in each other's plans due to respect. Then Ralf smiled and said, "I believe you! So, I am in!", Golovin was annoyed by Ralf's behaviour but smiled hearing he supported him.

Jamie wasn't happy seeing that Ralf had joined Golovin in the votes but he had already anticipated this to happen. Then Golovin said, "What do you think about him joining in as one of the medics for frontline? He is known for his skills in medicine too!"

Jamie did like the idea of that and so did the others, but Jamie was thinking, "This guy... Martin Romanov... Is he Rebecca's...? It doesn't matter but it is clear that Rebecca and he know each other and when they meet each other on the battlefield along with Danny and James, it will be interesting how they react to meeting him. But What after that?... hmm... I guess that works!", then Jamie tapped on the table and stood up and said, "I stand with this idea... but on one condition!"

They all were shocked that Jamie agreed to let him join but they all knew Jamie wasn't over talking so they all waited for his condition. Jamie said, "After the war comes to a close I want him exiled from UA ground unless he is needed here!"

Ralf and Golovin didn't like that condition and wanted to rebuke it but they saw that the other 2 were standing up and clapping after hearing his condition they knew Jamie won it there and Golovin said, "I agree to it... As if I had a choice"

Then they all came to decision on Martin's future. After that, they also had to decide the future of his assistants but came forward and argued that they were willing to go on with Martin. And then after the 2nd part of the war which went in favour of the Union Alliance, Martin and his group moved away from UA to the island that they used to work on but they asked for the help of the 5 Proedros who accepted his request as the reward for serving for them. At that time this is what Martin asked, "I am sorry! but... I need all of your help, We scientists aren't that great I survival, what I am trying to say is could you send in some special forces that could help us during our time there...", and then he kneeled on the floor with his headband hand also on the floor facing them and then continued, "I beg of you to help us!"

Golovin had respect for Martin ever since the beginning. After that display, the 5 Proedros had lost a bit of respect but knew this man helped them. Then all the others who were with Martin which was about 200 people also knelt down exact as the Overseer did and that changed the 5 Proedros point of view on the situation and that was why they agreed anonymously.

Then Martin and his group left for the island. The Island was shaped like a tree with its headquarters being at the top which is in the leaves and its recon site being in the roots of it.

In 2059, That was when he came to the conclusion to Project L was a success and that to a big one for him as it meant there was a chance to build up a cure but it maybe could take a long time

Lara was part of his experiment. She was a test tube baby that had Rebecca's DNA and the virus that was infested in the gas that caused the apocalypse. Lara was a test subject for Martin when she was still in the test tube as she died plenty of times to be born back. Martin started his experiment ever since he was at the conclusion of the war between UA and Westuroy. After she was born as a success Martin held her in his arms and then lifted the baby up by holding it in both of its arms and said, "You and I will accomplish a lot together!"

At first, Martin only saw her as another experiment but eventually, he came to an understanding that she is more precious than another. After a few weeks of taking care of the baby on his own, he called in a meeting with the other and said, "She is the last one that I ever create. And from today on I am her father, she will be called Lara Romanov"

And then one day when one of Martin's female assistants was putting away the dead rose from the vase Lara noticed that and went rushing to her and said, "Leave it here, Cora! It is not dead yet"

After Lara said that shouting, Cora was afraid and then after she took a breath in, she said, "Oh! Lara, don't do that again dear that scared me"

Lara replied, "I am sorry!... but the plant is not dead yet but weak"

Cora was confused about how she knows that. Cora and the other assistants have an earplug in their right ear, So, they could easily connect to Martin and inform him of what is going around or the other way around to all the others. The earplug was a bit of like the HG and G[Glove and Watch].

Cora tapped on the earplug and Martin was listening in on the conversation Cora was having with Lara.

Lara then said, "Cora! Just... just leave the vase with the plant here I will take it away for you then", Lara knew Cora tapped the earplug to inform Martin.

Martin didn't have a clue of what was going on there except Lara saying she will put away the plant herself. Martin send Takashi who was Lara's personal caretaker.

As Takashi went to check on her, he had to tap his earplug to let Martin hear their conversation whenever Martin asked him to. He saw Lara leaning towards the plant. At this point, she was 8 years old. Lara touched the plant and a crystal appeared in the soil of the vase the plant started to get green again.

Martin couldn't see what was going on but after he heard Takashi crying slowly, took a while to wipe away his tears and then said, "She is ready Sir!", What Takashi meant over there was ever since she was 5 years old to the current period she had been given small training sessions as a game for to play or as an act of kindness as the one with the plant to enhance her ability and know what does she hold. At this point, they still didn't know her ability but they would know eventually.

Takashi went over to Lara and said with a smile, "Lara! come on to the Laboratory, Master Martin wanted to see you there", Lara didn't say anything but followed him holding onto his right hand with both her hands walking behind him.

As they reached the lab Martin saw them both and said, "Lara! go and lay on the chair", Martin was setting up anaesthesia for Lara.

Martin nodded at Takashi to leave he understood and left the laboratory. Takashi was concerned about Lara on whether she will go through the treatment successfully. But the treatment that Takashi thought was for her health was actually an experiment on her to activate her ability...
