Traveling merchant (1)

"Fairy queen was important to the land. As its role was not to rule but its to maintain the balance of nature and the living things surrounding it"

Mother let out a soft sigh, but it sounded heavy to me.

She was worried.

Sighh-

And there's a sound of small signs on the table.

The small fairies were sitting around the plate in a circle.

They were signing because the sweets were gone.

"But in this few years, this land has become worse and the balance of live was not its scale"

"what do you mean, mother?"

"the flow of their life… Almost stopped at one point."

"ah..it's too early for you to understand this hardship. Even though i know you will figure it out since you a brilliant child."

Mother then moved her hand gently and caressed my hair.

It makes me calm and comfortable.

"but for now, just live your life wholeheartedly with everything you like and do things that can make you happy"

It's already been two week.

The seed in the field is now showing its beautiful buds. Our daily routine would be me making breakfast for everyone.

And while I prepare food for lunch with the help of the fairies of course, Lana would help to clean the inn.

She basically did the housekeeping, while mother would fortiezed the inn.

Lately the inn has had more visitors than usual. It's said that the merchant was heading somewhere but we gladly accept them since we will buy things from them too.

Shopping was always the best friend forever for women I guess.

And after lunch time, we will have a short break. We then have tea time at the back yard, while watching father and the twins practicing their swordsmanship.

The twins were brilliant, somehow Greg and Hugo would practise too. They would only tend the field in the morning.

And after that they would do some chores around the inn and sometimes follow father to patrol the main road.

Our calm morning was chaotic when father brought an injured merchant he found not too far from the main road that was heading to the beastland.

He was patrolling the road with Greg when he saw a wrecked carriage.

He was a middle aged man, and he was in tears with an injured dislocating shoulder.

His brown trousers were drenched in blood as the large wood pierce through his legs.

"Lana prepared the room. Boru carefully takes him there. V, come with me. Ronan Lorcan stay still"

After we came to the room, the pale and weak man was half conscious on the bed.

Mother holds my shoulder and she instructs me to help her with the healing process.

"V, take a deep breath and look into his body. See if you can see any broken bone"

Thank god I had started my lesson with healing magic a month ago.

I close my eyes and open it after reading some enchantments.

I can see his body in a luminous white and his bones in yellow color.

Everything was in perfect order except his shoulder and the wood was piercing through his calves without touching its bones.

It took longer to help him as he lost blood too much and the high fever almost got him to get a heart failure.
