Prologue

I opened my eyes and blinked a few times. I sense unfamiliarity, but I still cannot think straight about this feeling that makes me so uneasy. 

Who I am? Where am I? After the moment had passed, I got up from the bed and saw everything in a daze. I was in a single bed that was made from wood and a thin mattress. 

The smells of burning wood lingering and I saw a fireplace in the room. There are no memories in my head. 

I shake my head as hard as I can and hope that things will get back in place. And then I saw a piece of paper that crumbled at my hand.
 
“Dear Vierra, as you wish I erased your memory from your old life and granted you the cooking skills that will help you in this new world. And let the memory of your recipe from passed life remain. I Hope your new life will give you a better life. From me who cannot be named.”

I let out a heavy sigh. Is this some lame joke? There is a sling bag under the tiny table beside the bed. I found a diary with a name written in front of it. 

“Vierra Maverick”

World of Lost and Found

I move a bit far away and make sure there's no one who can see me and Hugo teleport inside the forest.


The blue fairy leads us into the small path that heads deepend inside the forest.


Not far from the path, I suddenly smelled a good fragrance.


It's not too sweet but it smells like a... flower?


There's a small light coming from one of the trees. I moved slowly to see what the lights were.


Under the black trunk that is almost rotten, behind the solid rock and there's a small light coming from a small plant.


I open my palm, carefully touch the small light where it suddenly happens to become a purple violet seed that has the size of my thumb.


The blue fairy yelled, calling out for me.


Hugo also called me not far from where I stood.


I got up on my feet and walked to where they sat, and put the seed inside my pocket.


After walking for a few more minutes, I saw there's a small hut with half its roof gone.


"Please stop...that was a potion for our brother"


"Just one..just gave us the smallest one…"


They were crying, sobbing and yelling from inside the house. I activated my farsight and saw what happened inside.


Six adults were hitting and laughing at the children.


Felt blood boiling, the cloud suddenly getting darker and the sound of thunder started to appear.


'Princess… the hut could not stand a storm'


"My lady… the children will be endangered if the hut crashed by the old tree"


I took a deep breath and the wind immediately stopped.


The thug kicked the boy who was crying out of the window, Hugo jumped and caught the kids from falling to the ground and in a blink of eyes the thug was sending out of the hut.


A few more were flying out from the small hut. I thought it was Hugo but he was standing in front of me with his hand hiding me behind him. His whole body was covered by a thick blue light.


He activated his mana, it must be someone dangerous inside the hut.


Then I saw a young adult man who appeared from a white tiger form.


"How shameless of you pick a fight with small being"


There's a sound of cracking, a huge trunk was falling from the big old tree near the hut. I clasp my right hand, and teleport it above the few men that are trying to run.


They shouted in pain and the beast prince looked at me. His brows raise and his head tilts.


I ran towards the inside the hut, and saw a young boy who curled on the cold floor. The girl I saved earlier was crying hugging the boy.


There were few more children, some were injured from the thug's beating and some coughing in pain.


I immediately opened my mana eyes, looking at all of them. Scanning for their injury. The only one who were endangered were the boys.


My hand reached out to the boy, took a deep breath and focused on the miasma that was eating his energy.


After a while, I finished treating all the children, and handed out the candy from my pouch. As it perhaps could help them for a moment for energy and for their emotion.


Sweets could help boost up some morale and bring a small happiness.


They were smiling in sad eyes. Wondering, now their hiding places were found, would they be killed or worse they could be sold as slaves.


"Will you sell us to the slave trader?"


The small girl tried so hard asking me the question even though her was afraid.


Her tiny body was shaking. Being the only girl and the youngest in the group of unfortunate children, probably would be hard.


I hugged her, she smelled like a fresh leaf in the morning. They must treasure her, since she was the cleanest of all.


"No pretty… I will not make that happen"
