Prologue

I opened my eyes and blinked a few times. I sense unfamiliarity, but I still cannot think straight about this feeling that makes me so uneasy. 

Who I am? Where am I? After the moment had passed, I got up from the bed and saw everything in a daze. I was in a single bed that was made from wood and a thin mattress. 

The smells of burning wood lingering and I saw a fireplace in the room. There are no memories in my head. 

I shake my head as hard as I can and hope that things will get back in place. And then I saw a piece of paper that crumbled at my hand.
 
“Dear Vierra, as you wish I erased your memory from your old life and granted you the cooking skills that will help you in this new world. And let the memory of your recipe from passed life remain. I Hope your new life will give you a better life. From me who cannot be named.”

I let out a heavy sigh. Is this some lame joke? There is a sling bag under the tiny table beside the bed. I found a diary with a name written in front of it.

World of Lost and Found

After all the hassle, I finally managed to bring all the kids to Laughing Cloud Inn.


They were afraid and anxious at first. But after I showed them the cozy room they would be staying, the kids finally at ease.


"Is it really where we will sleep from now on?"


I smiled at the boys. There's a spark of hope in getting a better life in their eyes.


"It's only temporary. For now your boys would be staying in this room until we get a new room for each of you… sorry that you have to share this room for a while."


Aria somehow becomes silent and looks worried. I crouched down and looked her in the eyes.


"Aria will sleep with Lana. Will you be fine with it Aria? "


She was smiling and kept nodding and I had to stop it with my hand.


"This is more than what we can ask for. Thank you!"


Freddy, the eldest boy among the six kids, with his hoarse voice thanked me a few times.


Lorcan appeared from behind me and Ronan walking inside the room with his calm and shy smile.


"This is my youngest twin brother. Lorcan and Ronan"


Lorcan takes Freddy's hands to shake and Ronan keeps smiling at Aria who looked shy.


"Are you good with swords? Let's have a match tom…"


Lorcan's words had not finished when mother suddenly appeared and knocked his head.


The fairy queen, look at the kids who wear dirty clothes that are almost close to rug. 


She flick her finger with a calm smile.


Mother had made all the kids get clean like they had been in bath and their clothes were as good as new.


"Just rest here for tonight. Lana would bring some food for all of you in a moment. Don't think of anything and just have a really good rest"


Mother patted Freddy's shoulder and she put her warm hand on his cheeks.


"Poor souls… all of you were in good hand now."


"Your brother would be fine in the morning, he would keep sleeping throughout the night but it's because he needs to recover. Don't worry"


"Now… let them rest, and you two needs to take shower."


"Mother...can you just get us clean just like what you did to them?"


Lorcan was running fast. I know he was only thinking of having a fun time when he heard that father was waiting for him, and Ronan just walked while calling his brother to stop running.


"I worried that the bath house would flood again like the last time."


Mother just sighed and closed the door and I headed to my rooms.


I took out the seed I found in the deep forest.


It felt warm in my palm, not sure if it is just my imagination but somehow I could feel a small heartbeat from it.


Carefully, the seed had been placed inside the small hole in the soil.


I keep the bowl near my room's window where the seed could get its sunlight and also pour water so it can get it's drink.


There's a knock on the door calling door and it was Greg's voice.
