Soft romantic music from the five-piece orchestra floated in the air as Callea marched the path walk to the makeshift alter under the giant acacia tree at Villa Celesta. Her white lace gown that was imported from Paris turned into gold as the sun sets. It was reminiscent of her great grandmother's wedding gown. Each step she made, the light posts and the fairy lights lighted up on each side of the path walk.
Deive was smiling as he laid his hand when she reached the altar. Only a few were in attendance during their wedding at Villa Celesta. A few close friends and family were enough. Marina was her maid of honor and it was her first time to wear a gown. The engagement party didn't push through but Deive made sure that the wedding would move forward much earlier than before.
"Deive, your hand is cold," she whispered to her groom.
"I am excited for tonight."
"For the reception?" she asked innocently.
"For our first night, of course."
The officiating priest cleared his throat. "The bride and groom are a bit fast forward. Our visitors are still here."
Deive tried to hide a grin then bowed his head. He tightly held her hand as the ceremony went on. As if he was anticipating something.
When he lifted the veil to kiss her, he paused and looked her intently in the eye. "Callea, I love you. I don't care what you look like. My feelings will never change. You will always be beautiful in my eyes."
"Thank you for staying with me, Deive. Thank you for accepting me, flaws and all. I love you, too. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
The moon watched over them as their lips meld. She won't think much about scary things when the moon rises at night. Deive' kiss and their vow of love would be the first thing she would think of.
