Worried

Ye-Jin came out of the bathroom after finishing her bath. Somehow she felt much better after the hot bath and her drowsiness was almost gone. She stood fidgeting at the door of the bathroom unsure about how she should approach Ray, who by the sounds was currently in the kitchen.

Ye-Jin was unsure about facing Ray after what happened last night. He had obviously seen her at her lowest and was for reasons unknown to her was upset with her.

Ray came out of the kitchen and he immediately caught Ye-Jin zoning out- standing half-in and half-out of the bathroom.

Ray: (raising a brow) are you sleeping with your eyes open?

Ye-Jin snapped out of her reverie when she heard his voice.

Ye-Jin: umm...

Ray: (chuckling) come on, let's eat.

Ye-Jin: (surprised but still not moving) did you cook?

Ray: (shrugging) not exactly, you'll see.

Saying so he didn't wait for her but quietly turned around and went back the same way he had come from. Ye-Jin's stomach growled in protest and she too meekly followed him inside. When she saw what he had prepared she was surprised.

Ye-Jin: (in a low voice) so you can't cook-

The house was silent so ray could clearly hear her soft whisper. His brows furrowed at the criticism.

Ray: I can't cook much but I was hungry and thought you'd be too. So, when I found noodles lying around in the house I just-

Ye-Jin: (nodding fiercely) yes! yes! It looks delicious! I am hungry, so let's dig in.

Ye-Jin didn't wait for him and literally pounced on her bowl of steaming noodles. She was glad that she could avoid the impending 'talk' for some more time. Ray only shook his and smiling at her cute little antics.

Halfway through their meal, Ray looked up at her and curiously asked the question which had been burning in his mind from the previous night.

Ray: (carefully) what happened yesterday?

Ye-Jin paused in between and looked at him with her wide eyes. She didn't expect him to be this direct. For a few seconds, she blinked at him owlishly.

Ray: (sighing) I was worried about you.

He didn't say anything else after that and quietly hung his head down. Last night when he walked through those dark alleys only he knew how terrified he had been for her and how many nasty and dark thoughts had run through his mind. But that didn't mean he had any right to force her to tell him something which she clearly wasn't willing to share with anyone.

On the other hand, Ye-Jin's face crumpled looking at his hung head. She took a deep breath before opening her mouth again.

Ye-Jin: I had a fall out with Aera.
