Freedom

A cold breeze blew making Ryu shiver uncontrollably. Standing on the deck looking ahead , the unending horizon of the sky gave Ryu a feeling of hope she had never felt before.

Clad in a simple knee length white dress , her long brown hair with the streaks of rainbow colors on the left side of her head danced with the wind giving her an ethereal look like a goddess had come down to roam the earth.

It was twilight, the sun was just touching the ocean surface on the horizon , making it look like a sea of gold. It was the most beautiful thing Ryu had seen throughout her life. She swept her eyes past the many ships and boats hanging around the harbor.

She started walking towards a small motorboat at the far end which looked kind of lonely like her.

She had never had any experience of driving a boat but she had read about boats in her free times, which was all she could do being locked up.

At least she never got bored because she always had something to read and keep her mind out of depressing thoughts.

Ryu took her time to self learn how to start the engine and drive the boat. She got rid of the anchor and started the engine moved the boat out of the harbor at a slow speed.

The feel of the wind , the freedom , Ryu felt like she was finally able to breathe.

Ryu hoped that they still hadn't noticed that she was missing. Ryu chose to escape through sea because it was just vast and unpredictable. You could never really pin point where a person would end up by escaping through the sea.

Ryu had already checked the fuel and there was plenty of it and also extra cans to refuel later on.

Ryu was finally free but she also had lots of questions about herself like 'Why did they actually keep me captive and Who were they hiding me from?'

So much was going through Ryu's mind that she failed to notice that waves were getting higher and stronger. The wind was blowing almost like there was a hurricane coming. Only when it started to rain did she notice her surroundings.

The boat was moving on it's own like a roller coaster. The waves were growing higher and higher.

There was thunder and a little hail too.

Ryu was now completely drenched , she could barely see through the rain. For a beginner to ride a boat she couldn't handle the boat well.

A few minutes passed and the weather grew worse, Ryu tried to look far ahead navigate the boat but what she saw amazed her so much she stopped controlling the boat.

Few hundred meters away from her boat was a growing tornado that just went up to the sky into the dark clouds and she lost all her spirit.

'Was this how she was going to die after finally tasting freedom?'she thought.

'God you are really amazing, why did you even give me the taste of this small freedom?'she thought loosing all hope.

Because of the waves, the speed at which the boat was moving ahead was really fast , within minutes she was near the base of the rising tornado. The wind was really fast like it could cut through iron.

The boat started being lift up by the current of the tornado , it was pure chaos the higher it went.

Ryu finally lost the strength she was holding onto and fainted hitting her head to the surface of the boat.

Somewhere far away, the sun was shining and i was a beautiful day the birds were chirping happily

but it was dark and cold inside the man's room.

The windows were shut and the curtains drawn. He seemed to have just woken up.

There came a knock on the door ruining his rest putting him in a worse mood.

"Only come in if you have good news!" he said letting a growl escape from his thin lips.

"Your Highness, We have detected some traces of the power in the human world. But it was only brief and it vanished in seconds."

The man got stunned hearing the news, his dull green eyes suddenly had some mirth in them.

"What did you just say?" He just couldn't believe it, after years of searching there was finally some news!

"It was near Florida , just near the boundaries of our worlds."
