Inside the office, Camellia's mouth was slightly opened after she saw the messy sight in front of her. It was a sight she didn't expect to see in the CEO's office of a big company!
Papers were scattered everywhere on the floor, making it difficult for her to walk freely.
On a couch near a bonsai tree, she saw Lenny was wrapped in a profound sleep. There was a thin blanket covering her body.
Camellia's face was frowning the whole time she had to skip to avoid stepping on the papers. She went to push the switch to pull up the blinds that covered the glass window, revealing the scenery of many tall buildings.
Probably distracted by the light, Lenny abruptly got up and looked around. When she saw Camellia nearby, she screamed in delight.
"You're here!" she screamed in happiness as she hugged Camellia's waist who was now taking two cups of coffee and wrapped waffles out of the paper bag.
"How was the meeting with Charlie?" Lenny asked after releasing a big yawn. Her eyes widened at the sight of food and immediately took the coffee off the table.
"So,so. Where's Ian?" Camellia looked around as she sat next to Lenny. She noticed the slight twitch in her face at the mentioned of Ian's name.
"He's probably at the airport now waiting for the investor. Gosh, I hate being the boss. Look at these wasted paper. These are the original contract we had but the investor - they really love to make their own rules!" Lenny pulled an irritating face.
"Hmm, you should learn to trust your workers instead of doing the job by yourself or else this terrible look you have will happened again," Camellia advised, knowing the bad habit of her best friend.
"This is a big project," Lenny sighed.
"Miss President, you're the boss. You set the expectation. If your worker can't meet them, then there's a simple solution to that. Fire them!" Camellia explained. She heard another sighed from Lenny.
"Hmm, I think I can trust them if you work with me," Lenny stared at Camellia with hopeful eyes. She laughed after seeing her scowled back.
"Why the sudden visit?" she changed her sitting position to face Camellia and outrageously put her pair of legs on her thigh. She giggled when she saw the frown on his best friend's face.
"I'm going to visit the Willow Residence. I thought you want to tag along," Camellia answered. She sighed knowing that Lenny had successfully change the topic.
"Finally?! I thought you're still going to remain hidden. So, you gonna make a big slap today?" Lenny couldn't hide her exploding excitement.
"You're too loud," Camellia reprimanded. But, after seeing the strenuous effort Lenny was making to keep calm, she herself couldn't contain her amusement, and laughter slipped out of her lips.
"But, why so suddenly?" Lenny asked after regaining her composure.
"Well, I just thought that it's about time," Camellia calmly answered. She decided not to explain how Charlie had influenced her decision.
"Now, I'm looking for chances. But, it's going to be difficult," she expressed her concerned. Still, the way Lenny saw it, Camellia's face was definitely opposed to her own statement. There was no hint of concern only determination.
While they were immersed in the conversation, a figure was seen entering the room.
"Ladies,"
Both Camellia and Lenny looked up once they heard a male voice called out for them. Lenny's eyes brightened as she stood up and went to hug the man.
"Ian, you slowpoke!" she scolded him but her action was definitely not.
An awkward smile appeared on Ian's face as he saw Camellia was staring at them with a teasing smile. Yet, he still returned Lenny's hug.
"Thanks to you!" Ian pulled Lenny's left ear, leaving a red mark on the tip of her ear. Lenny giggled while she touched her left ear.
"Remember, tonight we'll have dinner with them. You can't escape," Ian reminded as he tried to untangle Lenny's arms who was holding tightly on his neck. He looked at her while hinting at the presence of Camellia.
'Someone's in the room,' he wanted to remind her that.
Lenny grinned at his awkwardness and brazenly kissed his lips, leaving the man dumbfounded.
Camellia was already giggling at their display of romance. She knew no matter how many times she heard Lenny complained about Ian, after seeing her attitude, he was indeed the man in her heart.
"Sorry for that," Ian let out an awkward laugh after the whole ordeal was over.
"Honey, she needs to see that. She needs help in that area," Lenny shamelessly defended her daring action while making fun of Camellia. Ian sighed as he pinched Lenny's cheek causing the girl's cheek to blush in red.
"Alright, enough. At least spare me my innocence," Camellia finally interrupted. She scowled at Lenny for she knew she was about to include Charlie's in her next sentence.
"Hehe, I'll spare you my wisdom today," Lenny giggled as she looked at Ian.
"Ian, I'm going to the Willow Residence with Camellia. I leave the company to you," Lenny's voice was now authoritative. She looked at Ian firmly, signaling him not to stop her from doing what she wanted to do.
Ian sighed as he patted her head.
"Sure, you also need to rest. Ahh, I remember. Earlier, I saw Mr. Cain's assistant at the lobby and he gave me this," Ian took out an invitation card from the pocket of his coat and gave it to Lenny.
Camellia's ears perked up once she heard what Ian was saying. Lenny scan the information written on the card and passed it to Camellia. She knew her friend was definitely interested in it.
'Isn't this great?' Lenny's eyes widened as she eagerly looked at Camellia.
"Yeah, it is," Camellia responded verbally. Then she looked at Ian who was now picking up the papers scattered all over the floor.
"Ian, are you coming? If not, I'll go with Lenny," she asked. Then, she saw him swaying his head right to left, indicating that he wasn't interested.
"Nah, I'll be glad if you go," he responded.
"You don't have to ask him. He is the type who dislikes partying. Unlike me," Lenny's eyebrows were dancing up and down as she spoke. Her eyes were looking at Ian seemingly trying to belittle his personality. However, when Ian paid her no attention, her lips pouted, sulking.
Then, she ran towards Ian and went to disturb him until he gave her the attention she needed.
Camellia was speechless when she saw Lenny was messing around with Ian. At the same time, she was relieved to see the way Ian had been treating Lenny, adhering to all her antics with calmness. Even though most of the time, he would blush at Lenny's bold actions.

It was past lunchtime when Camellia and Lenny reached the entrance of the Willow Residence. Camellia volunteered to pay for the entrance tickets since she was the one who convinced Lenny to come along.
Apparently, there were few pupils queueing to buy the tickets. She almost wanted to laugh when she saw the eagerness in their faces. To her, the idea was too absurd because she had once lived in the residence for free.
