"Hey, Miss Ivy!"
Lenny's voice was like the wind that influenced the maneuver of a ship. Anna, like a dog who was found by its owner, immediately ran to Ivy's side. She looked at Camellia cautiously.
Seeing her reaction, Camellia's lip curled to an attractive angle. Then, she looked up to meet her old nemesis.
"Miss Lenny, Miss Camellia, please join me for a tea,"
Ivy looked at her two distinguished guests with a perfected smile on her face. As she observed the two people, there was a fit of jealousy on her eyes.
Lenny Fu and Camellia W.SR, two well-known figures in the business world.
One was a princess and the CEO of the biggest computer manufacturer in the country while the other was a witch with dark magic. For whatever reason, she was extremely famous among business corporate due to her ability that allowed even a small company to soar among the dragons, equally filling the sky.
Their statuses were way above her. Thinking about that, malicious intent flashed in her eyes. She felt depressed knowing that she was only at number three.
"Miss Ivy, it's a pleasure to have a tea with you," Lenny pulled Camellia's hand towards the gazebo and forcefully made her sit next to her. She took the chance to pinch her shoulder while thinking hard on these two words 'calm down!'. She was afraid that the hidden hunter would suddenly take out her gun and went on a rampage.
Camellia was trying hard not to laugh at her friend's effort. Due to that, she somehow displayed a constipated expression on her face.
"Miss Camellia, is the tea, not to your liking?" Ivy who noticed the look on Camellia's face immediately asked.
Camellia was startled but managed to reply in a very direct, short answer. "It's good," she said while her eyes stared at the woman who suddenly appeared proud.
Ivy was satisfied with Camellia's answer. Since she never saw her in person before, she thought that was the best compliment she would give.
Of course! The tea you drink is of high quality. She thought with a smug on her face.
"Miss Camellia, I've heard the story from Miss Lenny that you're the one who brought her here? May I ask which area interest you the most?" Ivy asked.
She was always curious about how the witch looked like in real life. Seeing her today, once again jealousy shrouded her rationality.
Camellia stared at the woman who was looking at her with her full make-up face. The corner of her eyes had a heavy eyeliner that curled upward. Her lips were painted in a strong color of red and her neck was bind in a choker. She began to ponder what kind of scene needed her to beautify herself in an exaggerated manner.
"I'm actually interested at the main residence," she answered while sipping her tea in a relaxed manner.
Ivy suddenly let out a laugh. The way she did it was quite excessive for her body rocked with her palm tried to cover her mouth. Lenny was also taken aback by the way she laughed.
"Miss Camellia, you have high ambition. May I know why?" she asked. Traces of laughter could still be heard from her voice. Anna, however, began to feel her anxiety return. She almost wanted to curse Ivy for asking the question.
Then, she realized that Camellia was staring at her. Her eyes were like the abyss, no matter how she looked, she felt lost and confused. Why does this famous lady suddenly come today? On top of that, what about her relationship with Ava Willow?
"Ohh, I have a friend who stayed here before," Camellia once again begin to talk about her so-called friend. This time, instead of giving all the information at once, she decided to go step by step. Seeing the fear in Anna's eyes, she really wanted to laugh at her heart content.
"A friend? May I know the name of this friend of yours?" Ivy asked curiously. She slapped Anna's hand who kept on pestering her.
"What?" she looked at her PA with an annoyed look. Anna kept shaking her head but didn't speak anything. Somehow, she felt like there was something holding her from talking, her throat felt sore and her lips refused to open.
She realized a pair of eyes were watching her attentively. It was a casual look but it made her heartbeat lived in her throat.
"Anna, I think this tea needs a refill. Please?" Ivy finally sent her to an errand. Anna was hesitant but seeing the face that was about to burst in anger. She could only obey.
"Miss Lenny, Miss Camellia, sorry about that. Anna can be annoying sometimes," Ivy didn't spare any good words for Anna in front of her two guests. She continued their conversation by inquiring about the friend Camellia was mentioning earlier.
"Her name's Ava. Ava Willow. I asked Anna earlier and she seemed - confused?" Camellia dropped the tone of her voice at the end of the sentence. Her brows furrowed showing that she was confused at Anna's response as well.
Ivy, however, had an unreadable expression on her but she wasn't talking for a long time. Lenny had to bring her back to reality with a cough.
"Ahh, Ava! Yes, my cousin. Hahaha," Ivy who was forcefully awakened from her entranced spoke almost hysterically. She drank the remaining tea inside her glass in a fast manner.
Both Camellia and Lenny could feel the stiffness in her voice as well as her behavior. Even her acting skills couldn't hide the anxiety that could be seen from every angle.
"Oh, Ava is your cousin? May I know where she is?" Camellia stabbed another needle without a hint of pity. Moreover, she really enjoyed watching Ivy's changing expressions. It was amusing.
"Ahh, about that...Oh no! Look at the time. I'm sorry, I have to go. We'll see again next time,"
Ivy stood up as she pretended to look at her watch. From her body language, she really didn't want to stay any longer.
Camellia chuckled but she didn't say anything. Lenny who was witnessing the whole scene finally stepped in. "Miss Ivy, I'll see you in two weeks' time at your event. I'll bring Camellia along,"
Lenny probably meant it well but, as soon as it landed to Ivy's ears, its effect was disastrous. Her eyes kept staring at Camellia who was no longer paying her any attention.
"Yeah, see you there," she answered weakly before leaving the area with heavy steps.
