First Day 2

Sarah entered to catch up with her new batch and just so happened to be on the next flight out to New York. Her group had to be prepped again since their training sessions were not so long when it was given.

Understanding what each crew member is required to do, each personnel took their small travel luggage and head for the respective gates. Boarding the airplane to get things in order each attendant was excited for their first flight. Their chief attendant ensured that she did a check over so that nothing would go wrong.

Flight Time

7:30 a.m hit and it was boarding time. As the passengers started boarding from first class to economy and domestic they were welcomed with bright smiles from each and every attendant. Sarah was set to give the welcome announcement to start of the journey.

"Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Welcome on-board this flight to New York. My name is Sarah Gilbert and I'm your in-flight service director. Your cabin crew is here to ensure your flight is enjoyable to New York this morning.

In a few moments we'll be screening a safety video about this aircraft, you'll also find a safety briefing card in the seat pocket in front of you. We require that you give us your un-divided attention.

Ladies and gentlemen please read the safety instruction card, it shows you the equipment carried on this aircraft for your safety....."

While Sarah was speaking her colleagues were busy starting the demonstration for the required sections stated. They finished their greetings and safety regulations demonstrations and started their rounds.

The flight was only a hour and some minutes long but when traveling with kids at a young age could be tricky. With kids under the age of 5 mostly the altitude from flights can bring about some discomfort if the child is awake. Sometimes parents will use medicine to enhance their children's sleep to prevent such occurrence.

Some kids would wake up during the flight after the medicine has worn off. With this happening they get whinny and it causes some passengers to be annoyed and uncomfortable.

This is something that happens in most flights and some parents are really tired and cant manage the child's crying. There happened to be a young woman traveling with her two children and such incident just started to take place in the middle of the flight.

Some passengers were getting really aggravated by the constant crying and started to shout. Even though the young mother was trying her best the children still continued to cry, seeing this Sarah couldn't help the urge of her child care side from kicking in.

She slowly approached the mother and offered her help.

Sarah:(smiling)" Hello miss if i may ask would you like some assistance?"

Passenger:(hesitant)

Sarah:(Still smiling)" Its alright no need to be scared, i only want to help you sooth your child and reduce the curses and loud outburst directed at you if that's okay with you."

Passenger: (turning and listening to the curses)"Well sorry to bother you."

Sarah:(taking one of the child)" It's nothing.

Strapping the child to her body Sarah continued to do her rounds while soothing the child. The young mother started soothing the next child while Sarah helped her with the younger of the two. Passengers were looking at Sarah intently, some smiling, some astonished but it didn't phase her she just kept doing what she was doing.
