I want divorce

Lily headed back to her residence and opened the door, encountering the same gloomy, dark living room. She sighed and moved to go to her bedroom passing by Zachary's room on the way. She heard loud moaning and grunting as she crossed the door, she fisted her hands. But she was really tired today and for the first time in her life she was not bothered by those sounds.

She was not bothered by her husband sleeping with someone else. That night she couldn't sleep, not because of her husband or her situation, but because of what Tulip had said to her. Every word she said was replaying inside her head. She decided what she needed to do. That night, for the first time in a long time, she had a peaceful rest.

The next morning, inside the kitchen.

Lily was having coffee when she saw a woman wearing only a shirt walk in. The woman was surprised to see Lily but, nevertheless, smirked at her.

Lily didn't react. Behind the woman her husband stood in only his boxers. She calmly looked at them.

"You're up. Sit. I made breakfast." She said.

Zachary got suspicious seeing Lily behaving unusually. He didn't know if it was all an act or if she was scheming to do something. He sat on the chair and, without bothering about it too much, drank his black coffee.

The woman was shocked, this was the first time that she saw a wife being so calm after finding out that her husband had cheated on her. Wasn't she supposed to shout, kick or at least be angry? She sat down and looked suspiciously at the food.

Lily saw the way the woman was looking at the food "Calm down, eat. It's not poison." She found it amusing to see the woman get flustered.

"By the way, what's your name? I can't keep track of all the women that Zachary has fucked anymore." Lily said, smiling sweetly at the woman.

The woman's grip tightened around the spoon she was holding. She looked accusingly at Zachary.

"You bastard, you told me that I was the only one! Did those gifts mean nothing?" She accused him.

It was too early in the morning and Zachary was in no mood to deal with this woman whose name he didn't even know. He was glaring at his wife. She was being very bold today. A murderous look appeared in his eyes as he turned his gaze to the woman.

"What are you accusing me for? I didn't promise you anything. It's just a one night thing I paid you well enough already. Take your clothes and leave or I will throw you out. Don't test me."

The woman shuddered at the look she was getting. She wore her clothes and moved towards the door to leave. Suddenly she was stopped by Zachary.

"Take the shirt you were wearing, it's dirty. Throw it away." Zachary said without looking at the woman.

"Bastard!" She stomped her foot and cursed at Zachary before leaving the house.

Lily was watching the drama with amusement. Zachary turned to Lily "What stunt are you trying to pull this time?"

Lily ignored his glare and smiled sweetly at him "Nothing, I was just offering her food." she innocently said.

"Who you are trying to fool Lily?" Zachary spat venomously.

Lily's eyes turned cold "I want divorce." she stated.

Zachary was shocked suddenly hearing her demanding for a divorce. But soon his shock turns to smugness as he smirks at her.

"Is this another scheme to get my attention? Then you have succeeded, Lily." He smiled evilly.

"You can think whatever you want to Zachary but within one week expect divorce papers on your desk." With that Lily went to her room.

Inside her room she took out the card that she received last night and dialled the number on it. After a few rings, Tulip answered the phone.

"Hello, who is this?"

"Hello Tulip, this is Lily. I have made my decision."

"So, what's your decision?"

"I'm ready to participate in the cooking show."

Determination shone in her eyes. This time Lily wanted to live her life on her own terms. This time whatever result will come she will face it. She wanted her freedom.
