Handsome, Rich and Charismatic

Suddenly she felt so forlorn. Goodness! Her tears were almost rolled down her cheeks. Rose breathed deeply and slowly exhaled it. At least the suffocation that she felt deep within would ease a bit if not completely.

"Oh... Right. Sorry if I might sound a bit busybody but due to my curiosity, when are you going to have your dream wedding with Mr Devon Luke? I've heard you two had been engaged to each other like a year ago?" Rose almost choked with her Jasmine Green Tea upon listening to Miss Simon question. Was she a reporter?

"Are you okay?" Miss Simon patted her back slightly. Rose shook her head, a bit embarrassed with the awkward situation between the two of them.

"No worries.I'm okay," she immediately straightened her posture, mind-checked and of course her little tender heart.

"Sorry if my question is a bit out of place, considering we are talking about my wedding planning," she said apologetically.

"No worries, I'm fine." Rose tried to reassure her but somehow Miss Simon didn't buy it. She bit her lower lips in hesitation.

"I was hoping to be able to befriend with you," she admitted, at last. Rose took a very long breath when she learnt about it. She patted her hands gently and smiled brightly.

"Well, sure we can be a friend. I don't see any problem to it," she said, reassuring the lady next to her.

"Do you know that many were broken hearts when they knew the best eligible man was engaged to you?"

"Best eligible man?" why did it sound weird through my petty ears? Hahaha! Best eligible man indeed. Wait until they knew his true colour, I doubt they will dub him as 'best eligible man'.

"Don't you know?" Miss Simon looked at her, curious, as she saw a mockery look written all over Rose's face. Interesting, there might be something happened.

"Know about what?" Rose quickly took a sip of her Jasmine Green Tea and inhaled the aroma to soothe her turmoiled inner peace.

"Well, he got the look, career, and, of course, he got tons and tons of money that can guarantee you a comfortable lifestyle." Miss Simon had a dreamy look on while Rose was speechless. Goodness... This woman was...

"And you're so lucky because..." Miss Simon gestured her to lean forward before she whispered, "he is a romantic man!" Rose was utterly speechless and faked her smiled to make her companion to not feel awkward afterwards.

"Uh... I don't know much about him being romantic and whatnot," this time Miss Simon widened her eyes in disbelief.

"Goodness! Look at you... Don't be shy about a man who is a bomb!" yet, for another time in the conversation with Miss Simon, Rose almost put on a white flag and admitted defeated. Devon Luke, a bomb? Yeah, definitely a bomb. A bomb that would destroy people bits by bits. And all were fake. His loyalty, his gentleness and whatsoever about him, all were fake!

"But I think...."

"He's a bomb, right? I knew it!" It seemed like Miss Simon was a fangirl of Mr Devon Luke. She had yet to finish her lines, Miss Simon already cut her in and talked about Devon Luke, that scumbag to the sky-high. Rose bit her lower lips.

"I think Mr Jude Townshend is more eligible to be known as the bomb. Not Mr Devon Luke," Rose mumbled her words. It was Miss Simon's turn to be dumbstruck by her words.

"Jud...Jude Townshend? Hell no!" Miss Simon was practically wailing. Even Leah looked through the glass door to check the situation when she heard Miss Simon voice. Rose blinked her eyes, startled by her sudden action.

"He is handsome than Devon, richer than Devon and more charismatic than the rest men that I've known," Rose pointed out her key points. Devon was surely handsome but not handsome as Jude. Eh, wait... Why did this conversation involve Jude Townshend? Goodness... This can't be serious!!! Gosh... This is not the time to talk about men for God's sake, Rose inwardly cursed at how the conversation went out off her hand.

Leah, who was stood outside rolled her eyes upon listening to Rose's dissemination of the men, and the most interesting part was the mentioning of Jude Townshend, of all people.

Back in the consultation room.

"Jude Townshend practically is a devil. Don't you know that he never took a second glance at the ladies that went out with him? And that he is a piece of wood. Not romantic at all!" Rose's lips twitched by the conclusion made by Miss Simon.

"From what I've heard, those ladies themselves swarmed to his side, so why should him? If I were Jude, I will do the same," Rose said in a matter-of-fact tone. True enough. Why should someone pay attention to some people who practically throw themselves into someone else? Won't that hurt their pride? Tsk... Tsk...

And she said he is a wood? Goodness... The comparative was indeed unimaginable. She wondered what would be his reaction when he learned that people dub him as a piece of wood...

As Miss Simon was about to say something, her phone rang. She took a look and her attitude changed one hundred and eighty degrees. She wore her brightest smile and answered her phone on the spot. After she spoke for a few minutes in her coquettish manner, she excused herself. But right before she left, she turned around and smiled at Rose.

"I think we should meet more often. You and I clique together real quick and I really love to talk to you," she said cheerfully.

Rose sighed in relief once Miss Simon was gone. She was almost driven to the brink of insanity. Gosh! She rubbed her forehead gently with her eyes closed.

" Whoa! I heard someone mentioning about Mr Out-of-League today. What news! " Leah made her way in and sat next to Rose.

"Who?"

"Eh... Trying to deny it?"

"No, I'm not," Rose refuted Leah's accusation of being denying whatever the talk was there. She was exhausted. Like totally exhausted after she entertained Miss Simon and her talked about men. Tsk... Tsk...

"Jude. Townshend," Leah enunciated the name loud and clear for her to hear. Rose slowly opened her eyes and glanced nonchalantly at Leah.

"What about him?" she closed her eyes back.

"Really? You don't want to talk about him?" Leah tried to probe further, unfortunately for her, Rose shrugged off and simply walked out the consultation room, leaving her alone with her elegant notebook.
