Meeting Her Father So Soon?!?

He was so lost in thought over what his next step should be he was starting to get a headache, he was staring so intently at the screen that he did not even notice that he had sat on the floor and was drawing out plans on the ground. Lilly seeing how frustrated he was getting, walked up behind him and knelt down behind him, she wrapped her arms around him and tried to comfort him.

"Don't worry, I'm sure that by now father has noticed our situation and will send us some help."

Mark didn't even notice that Lilly had come behind him but somehow feeling her smooth silky arms around him did ease his worries a bit, and almost as if she could predict the future he found himself in another flash of light that forced him to close his eye's again.

After a few seconds he heard a new voice "Hello, I hope that this is not to much trouble but can you open your eyes?" Mark opened his eye's to see a tall very thin man with no face wearing a pin-striped suit standing in front of him.

"That's better. Now let me introduce myself, I'm the God of Chaos for this world, the Father and Creator of Dungeons, Cathalos. I am sorry that you were forced to be brought to this world but I would like to thank you for agreeing to help my young daughter." The tall man bowed deeply as he finished.

"Oh, umm hello, my name is Mark and I guess it couldn't be helped, do you know what happened that caused me to get pulled here?" Mark tried to be polite while visibly nervous as he looked around at the fog that was clearing around him.

"My best guess is that you come from a world without magic or at least one with very little because the worlds of mortals are not separate and if your world had enough magic power, they would have discovered that you can travel between them. From what I can tell, your world and this one connected for a short period of time when my daughter was summoning which allowed her to pull you over to this side. It happens from time to time so you don't need to worry too much about it."

Hearing the explanation, Mark did not know if he should laugh or cry. Cathalos was talking about it like it was an everyday occurrence but to Mark, it was a huge bomb. Gods, different worlds, and even magic was real, and suddenly he was brought to a world of magic and asked to do something he had no idea how to do.

Cathalos seemed to know what he was thinking. "It is within my power to send you back if, that is what you want? However, if you don't mind I would hope you listen to a request of mine?", he asked with a smiling tone to his voice.

Mark almost jumped out of his skin when he heard that. "You can send me back really? Sure I'll listen to anything you say as long as I can go back to my world." Mark smiled wildly with hope over getting home.

He hoped that he could be sent home right away and treat this whole thing like it was a bad dream.

"OK, well I don't want to make it hard on you but if I send you back right now my daughter would be in a tough spot without a Dungeon Master. She would have to find another one on her own because the Laws of the Gods prevent me from directly helping my children that have yet to reach a set level of strength. So I would hope that you would stay and help her grow, at-least to till she can take care of herself then I can send you back."

Hearing what he said made sense to Mark, Lilly was basically a young child right now and needed a caretaker to watch over her. If he left right now she would be on her own again and she had used up all of her DP to summon him and now had even less to use after the reward they got.

He looked over to Lilly who was looking at him very anxiously before deciding. "Alright, It's a deal," he said with resolve.

"That's great, I'll be watching over you two as best I can until you are strong enough, and as a bonus take a look around." with a wave of his hand the rest of the fog as blown away and Mark realized he was actually in the clouds.

He was shocked as he looked out over an open wilderness with mountains and forest to the east and west, with rivers and lakes, and even an open grassland to the north.

Cathalos seemed to laugh and enjoyed his expression. "We are currently above the Dungeon and as you can see there are many natural resources around, it is actually a very good place for a young Dungeon Master like you."

"What should we do in order to grow stronger?" Mark asked nervously.

"This I can not tell you, every dungeon has their own preferences but if you really want to know you can ask one of your neighbors." Cathalos pointed to the east and the south. "Over there is the Mountain Dungeon Grendal and in that direction is the Ruin Dungeon Samson, they have grown to a decent size and are on their way to being strong so I'm sure they can help you."

Mark searched in both directions and saw a large cave opening at the top of a mountain in the east and a collapsed castle-like structure to the south. He could also see what looked like a town in the same direction as the ruins, right away he could tell that that must be where the adventurers came from that killed the Minotaur.

"As you are now I would be surprised if you are able to reach them so I would say to just build a dungeon for fun. After a while, I'm sure the humans or demons will find you anyways so until then just do whatever you feel like." Cathalos seemed to look alike watch even though there was nothing on his wrist. "Well seems like my time is up so I should go now, good luck to you."

Mark was just about to ask a few more questions when the world turned white again and he found himself back in the Dungeon Master room.
