Date

"LET GO!" Lin Ruoxi howled, her face a mask of anger, and slightly fearful.

"No- shit would you stop trying to bite me you maniac!" Chu Ye retorted, not at all fazed at the struggle Ruoxi was trying to put up. She was definitely a fighter, Chu Ye thought, but they were doing this, nothing was going to change his mind.

"You're the maniac! Let go of me you- no, please Chu Ye I'm begging you, I'm not ready yet- aaaaaaaaaaaaah" The shrill screams of Lin Ruoxi echoed out to a fading backdrop, as her only sanctuary got taken away from her.

a Few hours earlier...

-----

'a Date...' Ruoxi thought. 'He wants to go on a date, today of all days.'

She was supposed to be at work, and not worrying if her dress was "too tight" or "too revealing". Not caring about whether she should wear a necklace or a very expensive choker. Yes, she shouldn't feel so conflicted, not over a man, she should be detached, cold, uncaring like she had promised herself she'd be this morning. But still...

"This is a bit too much." She commented to herself in the mirror, she was in a long silk dress, red, matching her current fiery cheeks. The lines of the dress followed her curves beautifully, as it hugged her perk buttocks and generous bust- with a slight show of cleavage. Lin Ruoxi couldn't help but admire herself, she knew she was pretty, of course she knew, she often used her looks as a way to get ahead in some business, after all, most men worship beauty, and she was their goddess. But now... in this dress, Ruoxi was sure she would not just turn heads, no, she would twist them from the neck.

As she was admiring her tight rearview in the mirror, someone came through the door, utterly flummoxed at the scene before him, admiration and a slight trace of lust flashed through his eyes. This person was, of course, Chu Ye, Lin Ruoxi had noticed him as soon as the door opened, she was angry, embarrassed and slightly prideful, as a person who was very good with reading expressions, especially familiar ones, it was hard to miss that slight flash on his face. Odd thing is, she usually felt disgusted by those sort of things, but with him it was different, it was hard to get something "real" out of him, and even with those few moments that he allowed her a peak, it was never lust, so now seeing him show such a thing... she couldn't help but raise her chest a bit by folding her hands under her arms, though she wasn't aware of it.

"Who gave you permission to enter my room?" She asked coldly, trying to mask her embarrassment.

Chu Ye was now leaning in the doorway, looking her up and down, she was... beautiful, sexy with a hint of frost, hot and cold intermingled, she was smart, and she had her cute moments, he was glad he had the chance to court her. He wasn't insecure, far from it, he was very, very sure of himself, but relationships were something else, there were complexities involved that wasn't about just how strong or handsome or sure of yourself you were. They were apart of it, yes, but then there was connection, common interests, trust. The connection between them was pretty good, or at least that's how he felt, and she trusted him enough to let him live in his house, though he wasn't sure if she was brave or just fearless. But he was getting off-topic, the goddess in front of him was getting impatient, seen by the scowl on her face currently.

"Ruoxi... wife," Ruoxi couldn't help shiver hearing that, why did he make it sound so goddamn endearing.

'Calm, calm, he's not your real husband' Still, her heart was beating much faster than it should be.

"You look gorgeous... but I said casual, not dinner party."

And with that, Ruoxi's whole demeanour vanished, her chest deflated and her face grew even colder as the flush of embarrassment and anger grew on her face,

"Out." She said, in a chilly voice.

"Wha-"

"OUT!" Ruoxi shouted, as she took off her heel and chucked it at Chu Ye, missing of course, but still it was enough to get him out the door.

Chu Ye was left standing outside the door with a face full of helplessness,

"The fuck did I do." He couldn't help curse.

a Good half-hour later, Ruoxi was ready, this time in a white wool top and tight jeans, something that Chu Ye appreciated a lot, though she still seemed to be ignoring him though. They were in a beautiful Shelby GT500 Eleanor, pitch black with the windows slightly tinted, Chu Ye had bought this baby after crashing the GTR, of course, he had taught himself to drive as well, which only took about a minute or two. When Ruoxi saw the car she couldn't help but praise it in her mind, although it wasn't her type, it looked amazing, and when Chu Ye started up the car, the deep drone it gave off reminded her of a wild beast.

They soon set off, Chu Ye driving at a respectable speed as he cranked up the music, Bluetooth of course, old school tapes were great and all, by why limit yourself? They had been driving for a long while, seemingly on their way out of town, when Ruoxi finally couldn't help herself anymore,

"Where are we going?" She was excited, expectant, and nervous, this would be her first date, ever, she didn't want to agree to it, but she had lost a bet, and she couldn't deny that she had an interest in Chu Ye, though you wouldn't hear her say that out loud.

"There's this cool ice rink right outside Zhonghai, I went in there once while exploring the city, it doesn't have many customers and the food's pretty good, I thought it be fun." As he was talking, they pulled up to a pretty run-down building, it looked as if the walls were going to crumble at any time. Ruoxi couldn't help but look at Chu Ye hesitantly.

"Ice rink..."

"What, you can't skate?" He asked, seeing the strange expression on her face. Ruoxi looked away, again at the building, frowning at how dilapidated it looked.

"Don't worry it looks much better on the inside," He climbed out of the car as he went over to her side, opened the door and reached out to take her hand. Ruoxi hesitated a little, but in the end, she grasped his hand and stepped out into the afternoon sun.
