Time travelling from the majestic era after the Recuperation of Reiki, he became Kimura Kazuki, a 16-year-old high school student in Japan, one year before the Reiki Recuperation.

Tentatively, he set out to hone himself to the bone, burning candles at both ends to stockpile resources in preparation for the imminent Recuperation of Reiki. His goal was to be many steps ahead of all humanity when the time comes.

However, it seemed like fate had decided to play a cruel trick on him.

One year later, the Recuperation of Reiki... did not happen as expected.

When Kimura Kazuki regained consciousness, it was already an hour later.

He supported himself with both hands, quickly stood up and surveyed his surroundings. He noticed Rei Takamori nodding off beside him. Rei woke up too when he heard the noise. He let out a sigh of relief when he looked at Kimura Kazuki.

Besides some slight sharp pain in his head, Kimura Kazuki had fully recovered.

Kimura Kazuki told Rei Takamori to wait for him outside as he re-entered Akichi High School. After going through the entire school, he did not find anything peculiar and exited through the school gate.

Rei Takamori was looking at him curiously, so he spoke leisurely, "I have exterminated the monster. I was investigating, just in case."

Rei Takamori nodded his head in apparent understanding.
