Time travelling from the majestic era after the Recuperation of Reiki, he became Kimura Kazuki, a 16-year-old high school student in Japan, one year before the Reiki Recuperation.

Tentatively, he set out to hone himself to the bone, burning candles at both ends to stockpile resources in preparation for the imminent Recuperation of Reiki. His goal was to be many steps ahead of all humanity when the time comes.

However, it seemed like fate had decided to play a cruel trick on him.

One year later, the Recuperation of Reiki... did not happen as expected.

Tokyo, in the office of the Department of Mysteries.

"Arisu!" Mitsuya Hojo held back his anger as he looked at Arisu Yuusuke, who was seated in front of him and deepened his voice as he said, "Where's that wraith? The Otake Police Department has already begun calling and requesting for the wraith to be returned!"

"I've killed it and absorbed its reiki." Arisu Yuusuke played mobile games on his phone as he lay on the chair and said lazily, "Don't worry, Team Leader Hojo, I investigated Ryo Otake before I absorbed the reiki. He's just a regular police inspector, why would an ordinary person require a wraith's reiki? If he looks for us, just tell him to call me. I'll give him a protective jade. Isn't that more powerful than a wraith's reiki?"

Mitsuya Hojo slammed the table so hard that even Reia Koizumi, who was next to him, was startled. She looked at both of them worriedly.
