Time travelling from the majestic era after the Recuperation of Reiki, he became Kimura Kazuki, a 16-year-old high school student in Japan, one year before the Reiki Recuperation.

Tentatively, he set out to hone himself to the bone, burning candles at both ends to stockpile resources in preparation for the imminent Recuperation of Reiki. His goal was to be many steps ahead of all humanity when the time comes.

However, it seemed like fate had decided to play a cruel trick on him.

One year later, the Recuperation of Reiki... did not happen as expected.

<p>Before this, Kimura Kazuki had asked Chiba Shiori what she wanted as a present, and the answer she gave was a ring. Hence, Kimura Kazuki stayed at home for the preparations, and the ring was prepared a few days before Yuriko completed her obsession.</p>

<p>The ring's function was a norm during the era of recuperation of reiki. It was also known as a Reiki Suppressor. The inner side of the ring was engraved with a tiny Ki Constraining Formation, and the Ki represented reiki. The Ki Constraining Formation and Spiritual Gathering Formation were similar in the sense that they were developed through generations. Hence, the formations were far simpler than when they first started. Even an ordinary person would be able to draw the formations. As someone from the Enchanted Talisman Division of the Spiritual Academy, and an ordinary person who was unable to cultivate, he would need to wear a Reiki Suppressor at all times. That was why he knew how to draw a Ki Constraining Formation. </p>
