Life, Death and Concern.

Inside an imperial room, holy priests were chanting a protective and healing spell while, dozens of maids were assisting a group of elders. The whole palace was anxious, the reason was that the empress of the Saint Empire was in labor and her pregnancy had been complicated.

First, the royal family had been trying to conceive descendant for long time but, without results. The members of the secondary branch were getting impatient with the pass of the years and, they were pressing the elders in order to force the emperor to abdicate.

However, all of it changed three years ago when the emperor announced that his wife was pregnant. Since then, she has been in constant care as she was a member of the Phoenix clan and, her pregnancy has a duration of three years. The reason was not only because her clan descended from the Immortal Pphoenix but also, she had a fire constitution body. This forced the baby to be exposed to extreme cold treatments in order to control the hot flames and extreme energies that came from the phoenix bloodline.

"A bit more of effort your majesty, the baby is near born" one of the elders said.

"HAAAAA!!!" "HAAAA!!!" shouted the empress.

"That´s it, almost there dear" said the mother of the empress, who had been with her for the last three years.

Soon, a baby came out and was received by the empress´s mother. However, a grim expression was on her face.

"Mother… What is it? What happened? Why is the baby no crying!!!?" the empress said with a bit of force as she was fatigued.

"Mia try to stay calm. I´m trying to detect her lifeforce" explained her mother.

All the room was frozen, nobody spoke, and at the same time they were holding their breath as if they were afraid of disturbing the empress´s mother.

After a minute she looked with a sad expression towards her daughter. As understanding her look, Mia started to cry.

"NOOO!!! IT CAN´T BE!!! My baby!!! Give me back my baby!!!" she yelled.

"Everybody out, let the empress cry. I´ll stay with her" ordered her mother.

Once everyone left, the only sound in the room was the cries and screams of the empress. Before taking the body in order to prepare it for the funeral rituals of the Phoenix clan, her mother handed the baby's body.

As she recieved it, her cries and scream deepened.

"My baby!!! I´m sorry!!! Your mother was not able to bring you alive!!!" she cried.

"It´s not your fault. Don´t be hard with yourself dear" tried to console her mother.

"Heavens!!! I don´t pray to you as I´m a descendent of the Immortal Phoenix but, all I ask is that you let my baby enter paradise and rest in peace there" said the empress while she was crying and looking towards the sky.

Suddenly, dark clouds covered the starry night and a crimson lightning descended. After it, the empress felt that a blue flame was been emitted from her baby followed by an infant cry.

Surprised, both women looked to each other before returning the attention to the baby.

"How is it possible? I clearly felt that she didn´t have her lifeforce" said the shocked empress´s mother.

"I don´t care!!! My baby!!! Mother will not let anything happen to you!!" Mia said while tears of happiness flew through her cheeks.

"You shall be named Lanying as your flames are blue and they glitter with strength" she said.

At the same time on a Spirit Cultivation Sect, a disciple was yelling as her fellow sisters were trying to help her.

This disciple was the daughter of an elder of the sect. Unfortunately, while they were returning from a mission, an ambush was prepared against them by a rival sect. As a result of it, the elder died and his daughter was raped on the spot. If it wasn´t by the sudden arrival of the Matriarch of the sect, she would had been taken away and been kept her as a living furniture.

"Senior sister push a bit more, an elder will arrive soon" one of them said.

"AGHH!!!" "HMMM!!!" "AGHH!!!"

"Almost there, I can see the head" spoke another one.

Fortunately, soon an infant cry was heard. However, while the baby was given to the mother, a crimson lightning pierced the building and stroke down the pair of mother and daughter. As they were hit, everyone else was sent away crushing into the walls.

"Senior Sister!!!" they yelled.

Yet, there was no answer.

Suddenly, a group of people arrived and looked in surprise the situation. A woman crossed the room and checked the pair of mother and daughter.

"Yei is dead but, the baby is still alive" she said.

"What we do with her?" asked one elder.

"She will be groom by the sect" she answered.

"Please reconsider Matriarch, look at her face, that birth mark will doom her. Everyone knows that his highness likes that our females to be flawless" another elder pointed.

"No, she will train in the sect and, her existence shall be hidden from everybody. You are not allowed to comment about it. It´s an absolute order. If there is a day that I get to known that any of you expose this matter, no one under the heaven will escape punishment. Are we clear?" the Matriarch said.

"Yes, sect leader" answered all the people that was present.

"For the moment, bury Yei next to her mother" the Matriarch ordered.

Once she was left all alone with the baby she muttered, "Tia, Yei, I´ll take care of your descendant. She will be hidden from the world but, I´ll treat her as my own daughter"

In the meanwhile, a young man was immersed on a fierce assault with a group of women. They were battling each other naked above a giant bed and, one could hear pleasurable moans. Outside the room, the faces of the maids were red as tomatoes while they were waiting for orders.

A messenger arrived with speed and he said with utmost respect, "Your sovereign, the Grand elder is asking for you. He said that it is an urgent matter"

"Tell him that I´ll be there in a couple of hours" a playful voice spoke.

"You sovereign, the Grand elder ordered me to tell you that it is related to a crimson lightning phenomenon" the messenger said.

Instantly, the doors of the room opened with violence and a figure flew out of it causing the messenger and maids to fall on their butts.

In the matter of seconds, a figure appeared on a balcony saying, "Grand elder, what happened?"

"Your Sovereign, an instant ago I was studying the stars when out of nowhere, they were covered by black clouds and crimson lightnings fell across the universe" the Grand elder said.

"How is it possible?!?!" the young man asked.

"I don´t know. However, I was able to feel for a moment a tyrannical aura from the lightnings.

Your Sovereign, they caused me to feel fear and despair from them. For an instant, I felt that I was in front of him" the old man answered.

"WHAT?!?!?" "That is inconceivable!! After all, he died a long time ago!!!" he replied.

"Your Sovereign, I fear this matter is not so simple. We should try to locate where those lightnings fell. That way, we could find out if there is a threat" suggested the Grand elder.

"Oky, you have full responsibility on this matter. Also tell yours subordinates to be careful, the least we want is to alarm our enemies" the young main responded.

"As you order, Your Sovereign" said the Grand elder as he disappeared from the balcony.

The young man was left alone as he fell in deep thoughts. [Zekros was killed a long time ago, but his last words I considered them as just bullshits. Should they turn to be true, I need to arrange a plan for them. As for warning them, I will wait, as nothing is confirmed now]

I will try to update another chapter later, while I´m waiting for my flight to France in order to spend this weekend with my girlfriend. Yes, I have a girlfriend hehehe. As I live in Portugal, this time is my turn to travel.

In this moment, it is the 2am of Saturday so, if for some reason my flight gets delay I´ll be able to post another chapter soon. Otherwise, you´ll have to wait some hours or wait to Sunday and you will have 4 chapters.
