Having returned from the storage, Einar sat in the couch while waiting his father. He was concerned by the words spoken at the last moment. For some reason, the recent events around the village were worsening from his point of view. Recalling his mother´s words, beasts has increase in numbers, special traits are starting to appear on them and even worse, some of them can use mana. This last point was the source of his uneasiness feeling.
Noticing that her brother was on deep thought, Nilsa just laid down next to him and rested her head over his shoulder. She too was feeling a bad omen from all this strange situation.
Despite been just 12 years old, both were more mature in comparison with the members of their generation. Of course, there are special cases such as Elin and Gerd. However, Nilsa seems more on the emotional and thoughtful area, this is thanks to recover a part of her previous life memory though it was just a small fraction of it.
When Hilda entered the room, she saw her two children resting together. Any mother will be happy seeing her children getting along and this was special for her, as she was the only woman in the whole history of their race to give birth to one son and daughter.
Their race was blessed with a great strength and a body cultivation talent. However, they could only have a single descendant. Either a son or a daughter, that was the reason for been a small race and this affected their lives because, unable to resist the invasion of the humans they fall into servitude thousands of years ago.
Hilda only hoped the happiness of her children, but she knew that changes were coming in the world, she could feel it in her.
Night fall and Breon returned home. He had a serious expression on his face and signaled to his wife to go to their room. There they talked for some time before returning to the room where Einar and Nilsa had fallen asleep.
"Let them rest, you can talk with them tomorrow" suggested Hilda.
"Mmm" he nodded noticing her happy face as she saw both kids sleeping.
Gently, he took them on his arms and carried to their beds. He too was a lovely father despite his seriousness.
Morning arrived and when Einar sat in the kitchen for breakfast, Nilsa exited the bathroom while drops of water were falling from her long crimson hair and her dark golden eyes were shining.
Seeing it, he was mesmerized by her appearance.
"I´m not too beautiful Big Brother?" asked Nilsa teasing him.
"You are too beautiful Zia" answered Einar, who was still looking at her.
"Gigigi, oky we have to be careful with our names" she giggled while sitting on his left side.
As they were eating, Breon entered the kitchen and sat down too. Their breakfast consisted of: rhino milk, a home-made bread, two crorec eggs and a sweet fruit.
"Dad, I´m sorry for not helping you milking the rhinos" apologized Einar.
"Don´t worry. I woke up ahead of time and went to milk them" said Breon.
"And Mom?" asked Nilsa.
"She will be soon here. She went towards the village to gather some things for today's lunch. Also, I want to talk with both after eating so finish up and clean the kitchen" replied her father.
After that they ate in silence. Once finished, they did their house chores and went outside.
"Fight me" said Breon.
"What?"
"I said fight me. Both at the same time, with full power and use your weapons"
Not knowing why their father ordered that, both took out their weapons and gathered energy for the upcoming fight.
Einar was the first to rush forward with his spear in front. He threw a strike aimed to the chest however, Breon moved aside and let Einar lost his balance. Nilsa in the meanwhile was watching waiting for an opening in her father´s stand.
Einar continue throwing strikes to his father but without avail.
"Too slow and your strikes are week. Gather your energy on your body and just before striking you push your energy through the spear" he said while dodging a hit.
"Also, you are too easy to read. You need to anticipate your opponent's reaction and moves" he added while grabbing the spear with his left hand.
As he was about to throw a punch to his son, he moved slightly to the left as a pair of small swords passed where he was a second ago.
"Ohh. Interesting, you have started to hide your presence. Nice one. However, just because I show an opening doesn't mean that I was careless. Sometimes your opponents will show an opening in order to counterattack" he said praising his daughter.
Unfortunately, he threw a punch with his other hand and hit her on the stomach causing her to hold her stomach while coughing.
"Bastard!!" roared Einar seeing the state of his sister.
He threw himself and when he was just about to push forward his spear, he turned around using the shaft of the spear and tried to kick his father on the face. Despite his effort, his kick passed through empty air. His father´s head had disappeared.
"Don't let your emotions get over your head, you will lose sight of your enemy and will have many openings" a voice said behind him.
He tried to avoid the attack, but the punch of his father was to quick and heavy. He flew a couple of meters before landing against a tree.
"Oky, that's enough for now. I have a clear picture of your abilities and cultivation. Get some rest, meditate and analyze the fight and when you feel gaining some points from it meet me at the lake" Breon said before disappearing.
Einar struggled to get up and got near his sister who was still coughing.
"Agh!! Are you ok?" he said.
"Yeah, it wasn´t too strong the punch but still hurt a bit. How about you?" she answered.
"Yeah, I was able to cover my spine otherwise I wouldn't be able to move for some time. Agh!! It won´t happen again!!" he said.
While they were talking, Hilda appeared and saw their appearances.
"Seems he took some on you?"
"Yeah, but it doesn´t hurt a lot mom"
"Good, you need to get stronger. I won´t allow my children to be weak" she said before going into the house.
"Mom surely love us but when it comes to training, she is really strict"
"Yeah"
"Ok, lets meditate for now and see what we can gain from this fight with dad"
Soon both sat down and started to meditate.
