Even if the two rooms were separated by the wall, almost everyone within the room could sense the drop in temperature and the tension rising between the two clan heads.

Lu Chen ignored the rising tension and continued pressing further on the topic. He casually picked up the tea cup, swirled it in his hand and watched the swirling liquid inside. He smelled it and immediately sensed that there was a poison mixed in the tea.

He didn't seem to mind it that much. He was quite used with being 'gifted' by poisons by his enemies, and the other organizations who are after his authority. Besides, he was already trained to intake quite a number of poisons and eventually got immuned to a lot of them so this much poison in the tea wouldn't affect him very much.
