It was near midnight but you can still see how the man was dominated with worry upon opening the door seeing his soaking wet girlfriend. Her clothes are so wet that you can even squeeze them.
"Howy…" she sobs and cuddles with him. "Papa is getting married, he sure is not with us anymore!"
Howard pressed her closer, he could feel her body shaking, "It's alright Lu, you grew up fine without him didn't you?" he uttered while patting her. "Stop crying now because even if everyone leaves you, I'm always here for you!"
Words that eventually halted Lucy's tears, she looked at him seemingly reading how honest he was. However, her thinking was cut after Howard took over her lips.
Firing kisses brought them to the living room of his one-bedroom apartment unit. She could feel his scorching palm caressing her wet body. It heats her core and makes her anxiety disappear. But no matter how her body craves it her mind cries out, Lucy No! Reason for her body to react following her brain; she pushed him. "I'm sorry but I can't, Howy…"
"Hmm, alright!" Without a trace of anger, he hugs her again. "Not to worry, I'll wait until you're ready to share your all with me, Lucy."
When Lucy came out of the bathroom she's already wearing Howard's shirt and jogging pants. Then she sat like a kid on his lap.
"Funny isn't it?" She released a laugh. "There are so many places on earth, but I have nowhere to go. I realized how hard it is when your world only revolves around work and home!"
Howard pinched her nose. "You're always doing this to me!" he groaned.
"Hmm?" Lucy frowned.
"Tempting me then you'll hang me up!" He chuckled.
"Because you're My Permanent Lighthouse. So I know you'll always let me pass!" She giggled.
Lucy's sadness faded because of her boyfriend's warmth and love.
Finally, it's the weekend again…
While assisting the trainees she saw Charlie. In the end, she speaks her heart out and inquired about Dale but Charlie's reaction changed.
After all the trainees get inside the Comlab, Lucy eats the food she ordered out. While quietly eating a wind struck her face, it ruined her hair that was in a headband and blew her table napkin, so she chased after it.
But before she could take it from the floor, someone preceded her, it's Dale who's oozing with hotness in his navy blue shirt.
Seeing him makes Lucy put out a smile, unknowingly. "Are you alright?" she asked, gazing at this teenager's incredibly handsome face. Since Dale has Korean blood in him, his looks give a weird Kpop looking vibe. Apart from his face he even has the body, height, and the brain to outshine almost all the trainees at the Training Center and for sure in his school too!
So for many times, you will surely let his arrogant behavior pass!
"What? Don't tell me you're napping again?" his dark eyebrows moved up as he spoke, he gave the table napkin to her while sulking.
"Ahh... it's nothing! I mean thanks, thank you, John Dale!" OH MY GOD, what am I thinking! She thought, wiping her sweats.
Lucy is a smart lady but she becomes weird whenever she's with Dale, her mind often goes blank and starts becoming an idiot!
While Dale signs his attendance, Lucy who's sitting in front looks restless, glancing at him from time to time.
"Got anything to say, Ms. Lucy?"
"What? Am I that obvious, Dale? As far as I know, you only have Korean blood in you, but don't tell me you also have Shaman blood or did you become one?" She asked with every breath.
Not again, but Lucy got embarrassed once again! Seems like her idiotness is on the highest level today.
"Haha..." Dale laughter's covers the entire floor. "Because you look obvious, and I hadn't told you, right? I took a short course last year in Photography, so I became better at reading people's expressions!" He speaks confidently as always.
"Alright, good for you..." she released a breath. "Frankly speaking Dale, I saw you last week standing in the rain, I was just wondering if you're alright."
"Oh, that?" In a bitter tone. "I'm alright, the truth is that I got worried after finding out that you're still at the waiting shed, so I ran after you to bring you an umbrella. But I guess I got there late, I saw you with your boyfriend and you looked fine."
Lucy breathed hard, put out a smile that didn't go to her eyes. "But promise me, next time you will not choose to get soaked by the rain again, hmm. Because it's lonely to get sick, especially when you're young and your mother isn't around to comfort you. I know that since I've been there when my mother worked as an OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker)."
"Sure, I promised!" Waving his hand. "But promise me too, you'll be our guardian on my birthday outing this Tuesday! After all, you promised that in exchange for my kindness last time that you're going to do what I told you this time, right?"
"But Dale, I didn't promise you anything, did I?" Looking at Dale's disappointed face which made her feel guilty in some way.
Dale acted stubborn again. "Alright, if you want you can bring your boyfriend, I won't mind." Though sadness starts covering him.
Lucy bit her lips, her chin on her palm, "Okay. So stop being sad, will you? Because it's weird whenever I'm with you, I feel like a Gecko. You know, I easily got infected by your expressions!" she said it as a joke, though it's the truth. It's something that she can't understand about herself these past weeks.
