Ruffling his hair into a chicken nest, he walks calmly towards his apartment. The sun was still high in the sky and glared down onto the streets.
Taking a quick look at his phone, Oliver realized he spent only three hours shopping (and escaping).
It was only 1 pm. When was the apocalypse going to start? Well, in the early morning!
So he had plenty of time to think about his plan.
Oliver already has most of the essential and luxurious supplies that he needed and wanted, he only needed a car.
He has one parked in his apartment's parking lot, but it was a bit rickety. Last time, when he "saved" that male damsel in distress, the car was absolutely wrecked and only lasted until Aiden and Oliver reached the country house.
....
Maybe he should just keep the car and steal a sturdy car on the way to his farm...
Just to relive the same moment when he somewhat rescued Aiden.
Oliver rubbed his nose to cover up his embarrassment at his thoughts.
Yup. He would pick up Aiden again with the same old car in the next morning.
The next morning... Could he even wait that long? Maybe he should drive to that spot where he found Aiden. After all, in the morning of the apocalypse, the traffic was pretty bad.
And anything could go wrong at this point! Maybe the traffic gets worse, maybe he gets up late or maybe Aiden ends up being with someone else- someone else's car, of course.
Oliver massaged his scrunched up eyebrows and decided it would be best if he just drove there before the apocalypse and then let Aiden come to him.
Yup, yup, that was just easier for himself. It was just a plus to see Aiden be a little weak, at the very least! Oliver convinced himself of his completely "ulterior" motives.
Oliver walked in large strides towards his apartment's parking lot.
A little too fast for a man who had over twelve hours to prepare for the apocalypse.
The moment he reached the car, he simply hops in and drove to his destination.
Oliver remembers the place where he first met him clearly. It was a rural street, the asphalt was untended and full of cracks. There was a giant billboard advertising beef jerky, which was a very noticable landmark and something that Oliver was familiar with.
It only took an hour to get there, since he was going over the speed limit and the lack of traffic blocking his way.
As he saw the billboard quickly coming into view, he spotted a man sitting next to the support beams of said billboard.
