Everyday, Together

Harsh light seeped through the curtains of the window, waking up Oliver from a deep, comfortable slumber.

After letting his eyelids flutter in response to the bright sun rays for a few seconds, he abruptly sat and slowly turned his head to look around for something or someone.

Oliver stayed dazed for a while, trying his best to process in his mind as to where Aiden could be.

It was not until he heard a slightly pained groan underneath him. His eyes immediately traveled from his own pale arm and lanky fingers to a toned chest that had the unfortunate fate of being weighed down by his arm. Aiden wore a wronged expression as Oliver's hand pressed him down.

Oliver blinked a few times in confusion before quickly taking his hand back, as if he had touched hot iron.

Grasping his own hand, he felt his ears burn in slight embarrassment. Oliver still felt the touch of Aiden's skin within his fingertips. He rubbed his fingers together, slightly regretful at how he was unable to relish in the touch a bit more. Maybe he should just shamelessly go back to sleep and snuggled up again.

Though, Oliver felt his eyes wander up and down Aiden's bare chest, it was not that bad to wake up like this.

"Enjoying the view?"

Oliver felt his lips twitch into a wicked smile when he heard Aiden's unnecessary question. But, he courteously responded anyways.

"I think the more important question is why are you half-naked?" Oliver spoke in a matter-of-fact tone, as if he had not previously let his eyes wander over Aiden's slightly tanned chest.

Aiden lifted an eyebrow and gave a smirk that could rival in wickedness with Oliver's.

"Who said I was half-naked?"

Before Oliver could respond, Aiden snaked an arm around his waist and pulled him underneath him.

Oliver felt his heart beating madly as Aiden looked down on him with a devious smirk.

When has the roles changed?! Wasn't he always the one that teased and Aiden being embarassed?! Cough, not that he was complaining, after all, Aiden was really-

"Handsome." Oliver let that single word escape from his lips, making Aiden narrow his eyes in delight at that small compliment.

"Is that all you have to say to me?" Aiden held a slight expectant tone as Oliver was still trying to process as to what was currently happening.

When finally realizing that Aiden wanted a response to his full nakedness, he looked down at Aiden's assets and blushed heavily.

Nevertheless, he was never the type to not provoke the other.

He felt his mouth naturally form a playful smile and spoke his an unintentional hoarse voice, "It's okay looking, but it still doesn't excuse your nakedness.~"

Aiden, not missing a beat, "At night, I just felt like being naked for you."

Oliver felt his cheeks flush even more at the heavy implications, however at the same time, all the little innuendos flew over his head.

He could only respond with: "Why?"

As in, 'why the hell are you actually naked?' And just little part of him went 'why him?'

Aiden's narrowed eyes further, almost till they were delightful little slits and tenderly held Oliver's hands.

"It's because I love you." A bit abrupt. Even Aiden had to admit. But, he was a man of his words, even if those words came from another lifetime.

Now that he had a second chance, he would be foolish to simply play cat and mouse with Oliver all over again.

Oliver let those words echo in his mind until they sounded unreal after repeating so many times.

He was about to laugh it off as an awkward joke, but the moment he stared into Aiden's honest eyes, he clamped his mouth shut.

He was absolutely serious.

And he was waiting for his answer.

So, how did he feel about Aiden? Feeling his eyes shift to the side where his hand was gently grasped by Aiden's, his face kept reddening with each passing second.

If he woke up pale, then he was as red as a tomato within the half an hour he had been awake.

Aiden was a handsome man, that's the only reason why Oliver picked him up. After that? They kept spending time together. Days stretched to months and months turned into years.

They spend three entire years together, almost stuck to the hip if Oliver thought about it more. He cannot remember a day where they haven't been together.

Oliver mentally smacked himself when he thought of all the hints he had missed, from Aiden trying to worm into his room and bed to tolerating his narcissistic and annoying self on a daily basis.

And he, on the other hand, was always one to avoid troublesome things. Oliver always wanted a smooth life, yet was practically glued to Aiden, giving him his favorite things whenever possible, helping him during his more vulnerable times and being happy whenever they spend time together. And Aiden was someone who he considered to be the most troublesome, just on the basis of his sense of justice and handsome self that attracted the evilest of butterflies and bees, including himself!

Plus, he never dared entertain the ideas of even dating Aiden!

There are billions, well maybe a million or less due to the apocalypse, that he could choose from, so why would Aiden choose him?!

But, he was still chosen.

Strange.

Although, he was plagued with confusion, he felt extreme happiness rising up from his heart.

Oh no.

He can't hide his jubilant grin with just one hand.

Oliver already knew his own response. Actually, hadn't Oliver always known how he felt towards Aiden? His actions speak more than words, he guessed.

Using his elbows to prop himself up, he boldly grasped Aiden's head and pulled their heads close until their breaths intertwined with each heavy exhale.

"What if I were to say I love you back?"
