Shopping Spree or a Charity?

"Wow! I've never seen so many solar panels!" Hillary excitedly whispered in a "quiet" voice. To her dismay, was hushed by Shilah.

"You don't know what's lurking in here. Be more alert!" The blonde indiscriminately showed her disdain for her friend's easy-going nature. Although her companion had more experience than her, it was clear that her bubbly nature would truly never disappear.

That was both a relief and frustration to Shilah.

Oliver simply smirked at Shilah, "Don't be so tense! We just need to take a few and then leave." He said in a slightly sing-song voice as he slung an arm around Aiden, who willingly lowered himself to assure that Oliver's arm would not ache from stretching to reach his height. To which, Oliver gave a crook to the lips at Aiden's subtle action, walking proudly with a handsome man in his arm.

No fear of the apocalypse, just confidence in the future.

He must look very awe-inspiring to the normal viewer. Despite his a little more than average face, his great personality and aura are enough to make up for it! He wore a prideful smile at the thought of his own amazing self before he was interrupted by a rough and calloused hand.

The rough skin grazed and pinched his cheek, immediately smoothening the wrinkles caused by the wicked smile.

Oliver jutted his lip out in protest, rubbing his sore cheek. But, quickly regained his momentum. His personality and aura must have been great since they managed to snag Aiden in. Before that a little too evil smile could come out again, it was once again "crushed" by Aiden's almighty hand, which relished the elasticity of Oliver's skin.

"Quit! It! Can't a man have his freedom to smile!?" The brunet man asked in superficial exasperation and held both his cheeks to tightly protect them.

Aiden snorted in response. At long last, he was finally lovers with the man he yearned after for years. He would be foolish to not take advantage of his status as a boyfriend and touch him as much as he desires. In the past, he was afraid that Oliver would discover his feelings and reject him. After all, Oliver had overtly shown his appreciation for beauty, yet showed disgust for those that were actually attractive.

This greatly created baseless fears that Oliver was only playing with him. Perhaps all of that man's overt actions could mean nothing less than just friends being touchy or playful.

Of course, that worry was all for naught, Aiden was currently with Oliver.

Nothing would ever tear them apart. His eyes narrowed dangerously and his handsome countenance quickly darkened at any thought of those self-proclaimed "flowers" in the past. He would be sure to let them rot outside of Oliver's and his base as fertilizer for their peaceful farm.

Oliver noticing Aiden's unsavory look, half guessing that the man was pondering of "them." Not their pretty faces, but their future petty demise.

He graciously took up Aiden's hand and interlocked their fingers, earning himself a little surprised blush from Aiden who coughed embarrassedly for blatantly showing their relationship in front of their new teammates.

Yes, he may have slept in the same room, held hands a bit privately, kissed, and Aiden himself had wrapped his arm around Oliver to claim his lover in front of these women, but he was still bashful when Oliver took any initiative.

No matter the years, he could never get enough of him.

Aiden dazedly held his hand, lost in his own thoughts as he felt the burning heat soak throughout his body. While Oliver wantonly swung their arm around, liking the fact that their arms swung and sync. He also used this opportunity to more finely feel Aiden's hand.

A bit calloused and rough. Though in the middle of his palm was soft. The entire palm was soaked in heat, making him feel comforted and grasped tighter.

The two other women also giggled at their shenanigans and continued to walk behind the couple, constantly muttering between them. The men remained oblivious to the gossip between the duo.

"I thought they were getting it on this morning..." Shilah whispered into Hillary's ear, causing the brunette to silently rub her own earlobes due to sudden itchiness.

"That's why you covered my eyes? You're dirty-minded! Pervert!" Hillary regained her focus and covered her mouth and looked shocked at her blonde friend.

"Oh please, what else was I supposed to expect. We have to be ready for anything. I was just being more cautious." Shilah snorted out and crossed her arms.

Hillary opened her mouth to "help" Shilah realize that she was just overthinking (or a pervert), however, Aiden raised his free hand to stop the group. His eyes pointed at a certain area of the factory. Shilah immediately got into an alert stance, Hillary simply tilted her body to have Shilah behind her and Oliver lazily looked at that corner.

Truthfully, they only were in the factory for a grand total of two minutes. They had already arrived bypassed the solar panels as they were not the complete products and have no true use unless officially assembled (only the factory workers and machines knew how to do). Their goal was the warehouse that was further within the factory. That place would have complete and functioning solar panels, enough to charge their future base.

Unfortunately, Aiden and Oliver had greatly miscalculated.

The base has already been established in the factory and there seemed to be more people than estimated. The original fifty zombies became the current hundred normal humans in the present.

Oliver scrunched up his brow. Reborn people weren't a problem. Normal people were. Those that are frightened and unable to fend for themselves and cling on to any piece of hope.

If they were to try to take anything from them, they would be retaliated against. Oliver and Aiden had enough power to drive those people away, however, making a hundred enemies at once in this doomsday era were not exactly ideal. And killing all of them was unnecessary and cruel.

Or an even worse situation-

A shaking old man quickly came up to the group and quickly bowed down. His voice hoarse and scratchy, clearly from not drinking enough water in these mere two days. Many of the survivors behind him gasped and wanted to chase after the elder to not approach these suspicious figures that invaded their newly found home.

Some even called out to him to come back to the safety of the group.

He stubbornly kneeled before Aiden and Oliver, "Please, help us leave!"

Oliver severely wrinkled his brow further, this was what he was afraid of. People wanting help. It was not always bad, though in this current situation, it was.

An influx of survivors was never a good thing. Especially if they were to attempt at taking all these survivors into their newly formed base that did not have its formidable walls in the past. Their many and strong scents would gather zombies, albeit lower-level ones, but still exhausting to take out day and night to protect people.

Aiden heavily sighed, the elderly man flinched in fear of his response. The exhale was not due to anger, just irritation. Things were already getting a little too out of hand. Oliver and Aiden expected to increase the size of the base by a mere trickle, accepting tens of people every few months or so to build up their base, similar to their last life. Thus, minimizing the risks of a zombie horde being attracted.

The elderly man began to scrap the concrete floor with his fingers in desperation, once again pleading to the group before him, "Please, I'm begging you, please save us!"

Shilah uncomfortably glanced away and Hillary was quick to wipe the usual smile off her face, both seriously awaiting the decision from Aiden and Oliver.

The brown-haired man nudged the other with an elbow, with a face that had "I already know what you're going to say" written all over it.

No matter how cruel and decisive Aiden wanted to treat human lives like Oliver, his desire to help those who deserved it was bone-deep.

Ah! What good taste he had for choosing such a man!
