couple months ago

January first, amd Nya and Dara were working at the greenhouse, wich was kind of sad, two girls in their early 20's, pretty on their own way, with no plans for a weekend that happens to be the new year first day.

On those times they could only rely on each other and ocassionaly Cao, when she wasn't engulfed by her monstrous family...

Dara took a deep breath, she loved the flower smell in the dawn

- Why do flowers smell better?- she asked, Nya just chuckled- when are you going to crop orchids

- You serious, do you know how much work and people is needed to take care of orchids, and to be honest I like the flowers I have

- So, it's expensive- Nya blushed

- That also- the two laughed

- What are we going to do today?

- Take care of the pots while I cut the ones I'm gonna take to the shop

- You really going to open today?

- Why not we are not western, let them celebrate their new year

- Did you forget is also Sunday

Dara helped Nya on the shop, but it was slow so they closed around 3pm and went home.

After they took a shower and eat and went to watch " always", the movie with JiSub...

It was around 5pm when Cao called

- Hi Dada

- Hi Caocao, where are you?- C or K

- C, gramps wanted to get everybody this year, what are you two doing, shop???

- No, we closed already

- You shouldn't open to start with, that scrooge, I'm gonna sleep there, tell Yaya I'm taking dinner

- OK- Dara hung up- Cao said she's bringing dinner

- I swear if she brings Thai again she'll sleep outside

- She has the key- Dara said and Nya stuck her tongue

Luckly Cao didn'd bring thai, what she brought were more than 10 tupperware with customized home made food her mother had send to the girls, for Nya fried rice and sweet and sour meat, yes, all kind of meat, Minah knew what her girls like, for Dara Salmon and veggie and lots and lots of sweets, the best for the girls she does the best sweets...

When they were done they choose the movie " the palace" but they became drowsy.

Dara was almost sleeping on the coich when Cao sighed heavly

- This sucks

- What's wrong you always like this movie

- Not the movie, us, we suck

- What did we do now? - Nya asked

- Nothing, that's the problem

- Now what- Nya rolled her eyes

- Changes, we need to change, now, this year, do you still have the book?

- Err, umnh, I mean, yeah, wae?

- Let's make fool of ourself together, new year new life, let go of undefined matterss

- And your undefined matter is Mek, isn't it- Nya asked bored

- Umm, what happen? - Dara asked

- He didn' come for you to steal the midnight kiss- Cao shook her head

- It doesn't bother me anymore, but he didn't even call his parents

- He is a warzone photographer maube he's not in a place with connection- Cao just shrugged

- What are you gonna do?

- what I should've done the day he ewew my first kiss on Choco's babyshower- Nya chuckled and murmured

- Finally ask your father to forrce him to marry you?

- Au contrair mon amie, I'm finally able to give up on him- Cao tried to sound laid back but she failed miserably

- Yeah, what Dara said- Nya saidd chocked, it wasn't the first time Cao said she was giving up on her unrequieted love for Mek, but for some reason that time she sounded fatally resolved

- Actually since I was 3, but he isn't, or ever was, I tried every possible way and he refused me in every possible way, I thought I could wait for ever but I realised that I had a limit and even if not much also my pride

- You won't regret it? - Dara asked in her serious tone, Nya just rolled her eyes

- Yes, probably forget sometimes, that when you guys will have to remember me and push forward

- How are you going to do it?

- First start to deal with men outside my family circle

- Ok, you can count on us, TBH I never got why were you so obssessed with him, you are beautiful, smart, sometimes friendly, rich down to earth, if he is gay and- Cao chuckled at Nya's remarke

- He isn't, ot would be much easier wouldn't, he simply doesn't like me in a romantic way, for 20 years I stalked him, begged him and glowed with every insignificant sign of affection he would show and pretending that it was ok, he was waiting for me to grow up, and with that I refused the thought of see myself with someone else, it wouldn't be fair to encourage a closer relationship when there was no way I'd be able to return any feelings to other men, stupid me, maybe my true love is out there and I didn't notice because I was stubbornly waiting for Mek.

- I can, can't I?- Dara nodded but Cao's smile gave her the chill, she looked at Nya that had the ssame expectant look on her eyes, that was Cao's "well" or "sooo" smile

- Well- she started, touche, there was it, the fatality feeling, they were going to be drag to whatever craziness Cao was about to do, and no one could say no to Cao's plead

"Unless you were Mek" Nya thought but she manage to keep the thought to herself, she just needed tok change subject for now, and give Cao time to rethink her decision, usually she would give up on Mek for 2 days, the max was a week

- What u gonna do with the book?- she asked
