The emperor halted his assault and leaped back just to escape the attack, thereby breaking his time spell! He had assumed that Derik infused a part of his consciousness into the hidden bone spear preventing him from using his power on it, that's why he could pull off such a sneak attack.

"You are not getting away!" Derik growled in an inhuman tone as his aura exploded and a darkish green death scythe appeared in his hands and he quickly brandished it against the enemy, releasing numerous waves of death aura.

"If this is enough to bring me down, then I am not qualified to be emperor!" Emperor Slade laughed as he released the same green wave again and charged forward.

Emperor Slade utilized his time magic and used it to slow down attacks, allowing him to maneuver through it as he charged forward at an incredible pace.

"Cocky!" Derik growled as he was consumed by bright green flames and when it cleared, he was dressed in bright bone armor!
