Astar walked towards the path mentioned by 3rd cloud, apparently, young men who wished to become immortal passed through here some times and always walked this road.
he walked for hours into the mountains, at first everything was good and normal but the farther away he got from the village the colder and quieter it got, Astar couldn't help but feel nervous, he felt like he was walking into the jaws of a beast.
strangely though nothing happened, several hours passed and there was no more sound in the forest he was in, everywhere was silent, as the night grew closer it became even more terrifying.
He deeply regretted coming here and began running back, after 2 minutes of running he suddenly came to a terrifying realization, he hadn't moved an inch backward, he recognized the tree to his left, it was the place where he started running back.
his heart started to pound and horror slowly began to creep into his heart, left with no choice he clenched his fist and walked forward.
After living in this world for the past 3 months, his physical stamina and strength had improved greatly even though he felt tired he wasn't exhausted, so he pushed on.
"so what if I die? I might as well be dead since I can't go back to earth" he murmured to himself.
eventually, the sky became dark, the forest was illuminated with light of the moon, green and vibrant trees had turned sinister and bleak.
since the forest was silent it felt like some sort of graveyard, Astar was constantly on edge looking left and right for clues, he was running as silently as he could even still the only sound he heard was his breathing and footsteps.
He was nearly losing his mind due to fear, he slowed down and decided to move as slowly and silently as possible to conserve energy if a situation arose however that didn't stop him from cursing himself for his foolishness.
he would from time to time steal glances at the night's sky visible from between leaves and feel loss and sorrow, what he saw wasn't the same sky from earth, there was a silver moon twice brighter than earth's moon, the arrangement of the celestial bodies didn't seem familiar to him at all.
It was during these moments when he saw something shining in the front, he ran towards it and came across a magnificent scenery he would never forget.
A stream of shining green water with inconceivable clarity lay in front of him, he looked to his right and searched for the origin of the stream but all he saw was the stream stretching and vanishing from his vision, it was similar to his left, it was similar to a green thread.
he observed the water more closely but didn't touch it, he could see it's clarity was to a point it seemed invisible, the only reason he could even see it was because of the water producing light as it passed along, the surface was composed of strange deep green colored rocks very different than the land around it.
suddenly he heard a wooshing sound above him, startled he looked above and couldn't believe his eyes, there were two people on swords flying.
They noticed his presence and stopped to look over, one of them a young man sneered and said "what is a mortal doing here? you have a death wish or something".
the other one who seemed older replied: "Leave him be, he doesn't understand". he the turned to Astar and said: "I don't know how you came here, but you should leave, that stream is something no one can touch, it is said whoever drinks its water will become an immortal however no one has survived touching it so you better give up and go back home".
The older man sent him a compass and continued"this item will lead you to the closest city through a safe road", the younger one said with disdain in his voice " why care about a mortal, they are nothing but bugs, what a waste of an item".
The older one frowned but said nothing, both of them went their way, Astar stood there shocked, grateful and a little angry, he swallowed his anger and committed their faces to his memory.
he couldn't help but feel gloomy, after going through all this trouble he had achieved nothing, unwilling to accept the outcome, he began searching around to find something useful.
he suddenly turned to look at the strange stream, picked up a random rock and threw it inside to see what happens, to his shock the rock melted almost instantly and dissolved to nothing, but then a strange look appeared on his face.
he looked at the stream and suddenly had an idea, He experimented with other objects and realized wood lasted the longest, his eyes looked at the stream with a bright light flickering in them.
he used wooden sticks lying around and after many attempts managed to get one of the green rocks out, if those two cultivators had stayed behind to see what he was doing they surely would have been shocked senseless.
after getting the special rock, he began pounding on it with another rock, to his surprise the green rock wasn't as hard as he thought it to be, after 10 minutes he managed to make a big dent in the rock.
he carefully used the rock to trap some of the green water in it, he succeeded.
feeling extremely excited, he looked to the direction the two from earlier disappeared to and said:" every problem has a solution, nothing is impossible, I can do anything".
suddenly he heard a rumbling sound from the same direction, startled, his hand jerked and the rock which was smaller than his palm flew over his head, that drop of green water in it began to fall on his head.
his heart nearly came to stop from the crisis he was facing, despair flooded his heart and tears filled his eyes as the drop grew closer, he closed his eyes and prepared to dissolve.
Due to being startled he didn't realize that his mouth was half-open and accidentally the water drop fell in his mouth, he lost consciousness.
