The drive back home felt like a million miles. He knew that he wanted to be nowhere near Han Xichen's house right now but even then, he couldn't help stopping after a few miles and turning to glance back. Maybe he should have tried to persuade her a little more. Maybe then she would have listened to him.

However, he knew her better than that. She rarely changed her mind once she made a decision and pushing it might only make her ignore him for weeks. He didn't want that to happen. Of course, that was only because she was one of his most special friends and he didn't want to be at loggerheads with her.
