Wait! WAIT!!

Time stood still as Little Jia and the handsome boy looked at each other. Little Jia sense his distant aura, but that didn't stop her from taking the initiative to talk to him.

"Hi there... My name is Yang Jia and yours?" She asked with her mature, yet childlike voice. A voice that was pleasant to the ears.

The young teenage boy did not answer which made Little Jia more determined to have a conversation with him. Her eyes travelled to the book he was reading. The name was too blurry for her to see, but for some reason she knew the book he was reading, but can't seem to pinpoint where she has seen it.

She felt a strong sense of Deja Vu, as if she relieved this moment before.

That's when she noticed that everything started to feel different. It looked real, but at the same time it didn't. Nothing made sense to Yang Jia.

Fragments appeared one by one on her mind, but they left as soon as they appeared. Scenes of memories that seemed so distant came and left, too fast to even comprehend those memories.

Little Jia, who soon started to feel skeptical about where she was in, felt her surroundings blacken.

For some reason, she knew she wasn't the little girl that was chasing after Duke a few moments ago.

Thump! Thump!! THUMP!!!

'What's that?... What's going on?... Where is that sound coming from?'

Yang Jia thought inwardly as she turned around desperately trying to find a source of light or hope or anything that could help her get out of this place full of darkness.

Thump! Thump!! THUMP!!!

Yang Jia hold her head as she felt a painful jolt. "Ahhhh! What is happening to me?!"

Something was trying to invade her mind, but there was something blocking it. The pain of the headache intensified not showing a sign of easing down.

"Ahhhhh! It hurts! ahhh! It hurts so f***ing much!" Yang Jia screamed and couldn't help but curse because of the pain.

The 'Thump' sounds got louder and louder as the pain in her head worsen.

"Liang Guozhi" The teenage boy said

Everything came into a complete STOP, her headache was gone, the 'Thump' sounds were nowhere to be heard. The loud dark place that brought her pain was gone. Her surroundings changed and she found herself watching a young fourteen year Jia talking with him... Liang Guozhi

"Oh really? What a nice name. Since we already know each other, I will call you Big Brother Guozhi" The teenage Jia said shamelessly without caring about the fact that they just met.

Surprisingly, the boy did not get mad, but instead contemplated for a moment. "Fine" He finally said in a light tone of voice. His voice definitely did not suited his appearance. His voice sounded nice and gentle, but his gaze was as cold as ice. "And I will adress you as Xiao Jia" He added.

Little Jia nodded, satisfied with the fact that the teenage boy Liang Guozhi gave her an answer. For a second, she thought she was talking to a statue.

"So, what book are you reading?" Little Jia said enthusiastically as she sat right next to him.

"A book about reincarnation and mystery" Liang Guozhi answered her. He was surprised that for the first time, he was not repelled by another girl's close proximity.

Yang Jia stood there as she watched her younger self seat next to the younger version of Liang Guozhi. He was explaining the contents of the book to Yang Jia.

The scene was heartening, but it started to get smaller and smaller. She didn't know if she was the one getting farther away or it was the scene that was getting smaller by the second. At this moment, Yang Jia felt that this memory was getting out of her grasp with no way of getting it back.

"Wait! Wait!" Yang Jia shouted as started running towards the scene. "No! I don't want to forget, I DON'T WANT TO FORGET!!"

Tears flew through the air as Yang Jia kept chasing for that memory fragment.

"Wait! WAIT!!"

Her voice got softer and softer and her feet slowed bit by bit knowing that it was useless chasing after it.

Yang Jia gasped for air as she let her exhausted body drop into the ground.

Tears fell to the ground, but for an unknown reason those tears disappeared. She sobbed as she sensed the darkness coming back. "I I wa-want to remember" She whispered with her throaty voice.

Yang Jia laid in the ground and closed her eyes.

Silence

That's all she heard and...

Darkness...

That's all she saw

"Momma, you said you'll always be here with me even when you're not here. I don't understand" The voice of a little girl could be heard.

Yang Jia moved her head towards the direction of the voice.

Her eyes widened when she saw a little girl at the age of ten and a beautiful lady... She knew that lady...

That lady that she always saw in picture frames, that lady she never got to meet, that lady who she never got to say goodbye, and that lady that was wiped away from her mind... Her mother, Ning Xiating.

"My little darling, I will always be here with you. Maybe you don't understand because you're just a little girl right now, but when you grow older you'll understand... All you need to know is that I will always be right here" Ning Xiating said as she placed her hand on her daughter's chest, directly where her heart was located.

"Here?" Little Jia asked as placed her tiny hand on top of her mother's.

Ning Xiating giggled "Yes, right there... and" She grabbed her daughter and placed on her lap and started tickling her "Here and here and here hahaha" She said as she tickled her daughter everywhere.

"Hahaha" Yang Jia giggled as her mom tickled her. The room was filled with laughter when suddenly, a handsome young man enter the room.

"I see how it is huh?" The man said in a aggrieved voice as he walked towards them.

His lovely wife laughed as she said "What do you mean?"

The man pouted as he sat on the bed and placed his beautiful daughter on his lap "You guys are having fun without me"

Little Jia giggled as she hugged her dad tightly and gave him a big smooch on his cheek "Would dadda like to join us?" She said in her childish voice.

"I would be honored to play with this little girl that is the most beautiful princess from the entire universe" He said as he showered his daughter with kisses.

"Hey, what about me?" Ning Xiating pouted as she pointed at herself.

Before the man could answer, Little Jia answered in his stead "You're the Queen, the most beautiful Queen of the entire galaxy."

Ning Xiating smiled as she took her daughter from her husband's arms "Really? You think so?" She asked

Little Jia nodded her head rapidly and said "I know so"

"Haha No one is more correct than my daughter" The man followed after, agreeing with his daughter's words.

Yang Jia looked at the heartwarming scene as tears kept falling from her eyes.

"Momma, dadda" she whispered.
