Eucalyptus Asylum

Location Port-au-Prince, Haiti

A month has gone by since we arrived at the asylum and things could honestly be better it's been hard to find a decent job, not many people are willing to hire fertiles. Oberon and I have applied to a number of jobs, while the applications would be accepted the moment either of us would show up for interviews we'd get rejected on the spot. When I told Josephine about this she was just as upset as I was but said there was not much she could do except give us a list of businesses willing to hire. Oberon got a job as a cashier at Pain Plus Bakery pay is okay but at least the boss is super nice. Me on the other hand has not been so lucky so I've just been working around the asylum taking care of the other residents apartments. The reason we need the money (not just to make ends meet) is so that we can move to New Zealand another part of the People's Republic to be our permanent home country.

Another thing that's been troublesome has been bigotry, I can't go a day walking the streets without somebody calling me a tramp behind my back. It's not just me either, Oberon has been sexually harassed constantly being inappropriately touched by his coworkers. Luckily his boss wasn't putting up with any of that and had those coworkers fired (which is why I like her). I've meet other fertiles who have been the targets of ferrism, prejudice against fertiles, there was this one guy who said that some ferrist beated him up for a dare. This world I hope things will be better for my children. Things haven't been all bad though much good has happened to for one Josephine's older sister Victoria was re-elected President of Hispaniola for her 2nd term which is awesome! Also any day now my babies are going to be born and honestly I can't wait to meet them....Okay my water just busted so looks like I'll be meeting them sooner than later.

Hospital

Location Port-au-Prince, Haiti

My name is Oberon Willam Plaisaint, it used to be -OXY16-8 until the love of my life Bethany showed me that there was more to life than being a surrogate. She helped me become a free-man, became my wife, and gave me three little miracles I don't know what I'd do without her, but I'm going to have to figure that out.....BECAUSE SHE'S GONE!!

I was in the room holding her hand as the surgeons were doing there thing. Our daughter came out first and Bethany held her for a couple of minutes until handing her to me so I can get some holds in. Then came our son who we couldn't hold because he had to have surgery as soon as he was born due to his spina bifida. Luckily it wasn't as bad as we thought, which was a huge relief, other that he may have trouble walking he should live a pretty normal life. Last but certainly not least was our other son was born. The moment we put him next to his siblings he started grabbing them looks like we got a hugger.

It happen in the recovery room, I was just tending to our babies trying to decide on names until Bethany's monitors started going off like crazy. Before I knew it doctors were rushing in trying to save her life, but they were to late. The doctors said that what had happened was that one suture came undone and had formed a blood clot so big that her heart couldn't pump it. At first I thought this was some cruel joke and that Bethany was going to walk down the hall saying gotcha. However when I went back into the room and saw her lifeless body the reality hit me like a ton of bricks.

It's been about two hours since I became a widower, I want to curl up into a ball next to Bethany until death comes for me. I won't however my children need me now more than ever before and I vow to always be there for them just like their mom was for me. I know that the world will get better, I'm gonna make sure of it, and God if you're reading this open the gates to heaven your about to receive an angel.
