'I saw that coming…' I take a deep breath.
'Who am I to disagree with his decision?'
The invasion is wrong for us but is right for them, yet we invade others, like the animals' habitats saying that is right for us because of survival, but we know it is wrong for them, they will have to perish. Isn't this hypocritical? Ironic, maybe?
'Aren't we the same then?'
I ponder for a few more seconds before going back to the situation at hand. 'I need to find the Father Lord, he might be the solution to this problem…'
'The fastest route is to call her.' I cannot help but smile at the thought of my baby girl.
"Altair!" I call my youngest daughter, hoping she hears my mental call, "Altair"
"Yes, mother?" her soft and calm voice sounds in my mind, "what do you need?"
"Could you go through their psyche?" I ask her, serious yet calm.
"I just did mother, you called on time," she replies with a little giggle. She is always this joyful.
"Look for the leader whose name is Father Lord. I am using the lasso in one of the invaders, their language is uncoded for you."
"Excellent mother, you are ever so ready. In one minute I will pass you the information, mother," she replies, keeping her gentleness.
"Thank you".
"My pleasure."
Altair, my dear daughter, is kind and cheerful, she is an empath always there when needed. She may not be as powerful physically and in combat as her siblings, but she got a brain that is greater than most, with her psionic powers, and by being under the mentorship of J'onn J'onzz, she became one of the greatest psionic heroes only second to her mentor, said by himself, he also said that she can overcome him in a few more years if she has not already.
She has the ability to take the information of whoever or whatever the target is touching, as she did with me and my lasso. She can also share information by unit or group mentally, also can locate with exact precision where her target is; those are a few of her many abilities.
"Mother," she calls.
"Yes?" I reply as I finish placing the soldier to a side of the building and placing his gun over him as a sign of respect.
"Mom, why do you do that, they are invading us?"
"He deserves respect," I say, looking at the corpse of the invader.
"Why?"
"He was just following orders," I say, with a solemn voice.
"Wasn't his orders wrong?"
"I don't know," I answer, "Did you figure out where the flagship is?"
"Yes, mother. The leader and the flagship are located in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, where they have full control of the other ships that are coming, their position helps them be away from any danger, or so they think," she giggles enjoying their antics.
I can tell that she enjoys the feeling that her powers give her. I always pray to the gods for her to stay gentle and kind hearted, I don't know what would happen if she decides otherwise.
"I could gather from the mind of one of his subjects that if you stop the flagship; it is better to call it 'mothership'; you can halt his followers. However, I couldn't get inside the mind of the leader or his generals, they might be protected by something that protects them from my type of powers."
"Let me send you the coordinates", through her mental abilities she shares the information of the location in my mind, it feels as if it were a deja vu.
"Thank you for the information, keep the good work, daughter," I say, glad, "Inform your father of my whereabouts when he finishes here," I continue, before flying off to the mothership's location.
"Always my pleasure, mother. I will tell father. Take care," She says cheerfully.
This girl is still a child in her heart and I am glad she is open with me showing her cheerful nature and her vivid imagination. I sometimes don't know how she handles the weight her powers carry, maybe it is because J'onzz is doing a great job with her, or maybe it is her fascination for the arts.
------------------------
On my way to the flagship… mothership, I encounter a swarm of their smallest combat ships ready to fight until death. There are so many! With them in the middle, I won't be able to get there as fast as I want to.
Go through them with my shield on the front, like a meteor making its way through the clouds-
Lighting rays coming from behind me clash with hundreds of the ships that are in the middle disabling the ships making them fall into the oceanic water, just when I was going to set my plan in motion.
"Hello! Long-time no see," greets the familiar voice of a young man I know too well.
