Chapter 28 - The Stare Down

Outside the family room, there was a stare down going on.

"Shen Jun Feng,what were you planning to do just now? Don't say that you are not planning anything. I can see the gears moving in your head. The last time that happened, someone almost got killed. Tell me what is going on in your little head."

Shen Jun Feng is the only Grandchild of her uncle making him the Great Grandchild of her Grandfather. He is a genius 10 year old that had skipped a number of grades and is currently studying at the high school that An Fei resigned.

He is one of those that knew the secret about her identity. Him finding out about it was all due to his wittiness and his observation. The family believes that given time and if they were to groom him well, he would be able to take on the family business. However, he insist that he will not take on the business as he would want to be anything but a businessman because he saw how tired his Great Grandmother and Father was after coming back from work and they hardly have time for him.

"Sister Fei, you know that is not true. I just wanted to test him to see if he really has amnesia. Plus I have never met people like this before. You can't blame a kid like me just because I am curious."

"Well, you can always tell your parents to get you an intenship in the hospital and you can do all the experiments that you want, It is not like they don't indulge you in every possible way they can. Sometimes I wonder are you really their child or the other way round."

"Who cares about that when I have a patient here in front of me. It feels like giving a dog a bone and telling him that he can't taste it. Why are you doing this to me? Aren't I your favourite nephew? Don't you love me anymore?"

He knows how to get her to bend according to his plans and ideas. Giving her the puppy eyes, begging wordlessly. She felt her heart softening towards him.

"Big sister, you giving in to the puppy in front of you will not do you much good. I have seen him doing his worst in front of Sarah and I managed to pull her back a number of times. Don't fall into his traps."

Hearing Pamela, something clicked in her mind and it was a good thing as she did not want Chen Xin and this nephew of hers to interact too much. She silently Thank Pamela for stopping her, else, she would have given in like the many other times that she had previously.

"Young Master Shen, I think it is a good time for me to speak to your parents. Maybe I should arrange for you to go to a boarding school since you did mentioned before that that would be a good experence. I think, going there next month is a good choice. Don't you think so?"

"No. How could you do this to me? I'm only a 10 year old kid. I haven't even started puberty yet. I am my mama and papa's baby. If you seperate us won't you feel guilty?"

"Stop being a smart alec. You know what I can do and what I will do. Just keep your distance alright? Else, I won't help you to collect your lego any more."

"No no no no no no no no no... You are going to destroy the only childhood dream I have, You are planning to tear me away from the love of my life all for the sake of a man? Oh, my love, do you hear her? She is going to tear us apart."

He took out a lego set that the bring around with him and started talking to it. Being the overly dramatic person he is, the drama that came from him never fails to amaze her or anyone that knows him.

Grandfather Shen walked out of the room when he notice that An Fei had been gone for a while. Seeing the scene in front of him, he chuckled.

"Enough the both of you. The reading will start in a bit. Come in with me the both of you."

"Sister Fei, we will let you off this one time. I won't go easy on you if there is a next time."

"Whatever. It is not like there is anything that you can do to me that will hurt. With your tiny hands, I would rather not look at you."

They both stormed into the family room after Grandfather Shen. Everyone present is already seated on the chairs that had been laid out in the room.
