Chapter 34 - The Antiques

At the door, An Fei was stopped by Shen Jun Feng and also Lawyer Fu's assistant, Qiao Li Nan.

"Miss An, Mr Chen and Young Mr Shen, I would like to show you to the collection now. Plese follow me."

Forgetting about this An Fei was thankful for the reminder.

"Thank you very much."

Walking beside Shen Jun Feng, they walked behind Qiao Li Nan with Chen Xin trailing behind them.

While walking up the atmospher was getting a little tense she looked at Shen Jun Feng.

"Hey Feng, did your Grandparents tell you what to look out for or what to choose?"

"Yeah. Grandfather said there is a golden bowl that he is very interested in. He told me not to touch that. He also said to look for something that looks shinny and big, that could be worth a fortune. Grandmother said to look for something that looks simple and elegant. She also say that usually things that look simple are the most expensive."

"Well, they are both not wrong. But what do you think you will want to have?"

"Maybe something that I know Great Grandmother used before or something that I can remember her by. So I'm not sure. Maybe I will know when I see it. What about you, Sister Fei Fei?"

"I have the same thoughts as you. Let's see what can we find that will remind us of Grandmother."

"How about you Brother Xin? What about you?"

"I'm not sure either. I wasn't expecting this. I'll just go with the flow and see where it leads me."

"We are here. Miss An, please put your right palm on the panel here." Gesturing to the panel on the right side of the door, Qiao Li Nan stood at the side.

"This panel will only recognise Old Madam Shen, Old Master Shen and Miss An Fei's palm print. When the rest of the family comes, Old Master Shen will be present during those times to oversee and to unlock the door."

An Fei placed her palm on the scanner and walked in with them after hearing the unlock indicator. Thinking why this time round Pamela's voice is not present.

During her stare down with Shen Jun Feng, she took off the ear piece that allowed Pamela to speak to her. Upon entering the room, she suddenly remembered this and put on the ear piece.

"Miss An, Mr Chen and Young Mr Shen, everyone of you is entitled to one piece of item in this room. Everything from the furnitures, paintings down to the individual items in the drawers and cabinets can be choosen. Miss An, do also choose two more on behalf of your father and mother. Mr Chen, for you also please choose one more on behalf of your wife. I will be here by the door. Do let me know which items has been choosen and I will pack it up for you immediately. The item will be sent to your residence by this evening."

Thanking her, the three of them started looking around. Unsure what to do first.

In the storage room, it looks like a small museum with glass cabinets filled with trinkets, diamond encrusted jewel boxes and many more items. An antique study table that was built with Rosewood dated back in 1800s that was shipped from Europe with a matching chair that originated from the same era.

Trunks of different sizes and different functions were placed orderly around the room. Paintings of famous painters all over the world were hanging on the walls. Posters that used to spark Old Madam's interest was also there. A gramophone player triple their age sat a corner with the phonograph reords of The Beatles, Elvis and many more were sitting there frozen in time.

"Hey Big Sister, you there? Are you hearing me? If you hear me, walk towards the study table."

Hearing Pamela, she turned to Chen Xin and Shen Jun Feng.

"I'll take a look around. It has been a while since I was last here with Grandmother." She started walking towards the study table in the middle of the room.

"Thank God I got you before you start choosing. Sarah said to tell you to look into the drawers of this table. There are 3 lock boxes inside that is for you. Those 3 lock boxes contains the keys to the trunks on the right side of the room. Meaning, taking the boxes, everything in the trunk is yours and that would also include some of the paintings on the wall that your Grandmother wanted you to have."

Walking over, she started looking through the drawers and located the boxes easily.

Seeing her walking around and looking through the drawers, Chen Xin and Shen Jun Feng started walking around.

It was easy for Shen Jun Feng to find something as it was staring at him when he walk in. It was a hand made doll set that his Great Grandmother had shown him before. He knew that was the item that he wanted. He was told before that this set contains a family of 6 that was custom made for Old Madam Shen by a famous sculptor who was a close friend of the Shen Family. Just before he passed on, he had created this for Old Madam Shen on her sixtieth birthday. Making this his last work. Now it's selling price has sky rocket to a 7 digit amount that Shen Jun Feng did not remember. Walking over, he saw a small note in the glass case, he picked it up and saw the note was addressed to him.
