Back in the guest room, Chen Xin felt the kiss on his forehead and it brought him relieve at the same time, he drifted off into a dream. Back before it all happened.

In his arms was that same girl that is always at the back of his mind. The girl that he had forgotten. The girl that his parents wanted him to forget. The one that he loved.

"Xin, will you ever leave me? Will you forget me if I were to leave you?"

Shocked, Chen Xin held her shoulders facing her.

"I do not allow you to leave me. Ever! I don't care what happens in the future, you can't leave me."

"But what if I die before you? Accidents happens. My parents left me behind. What about you? Will you also leave me behing too when the time comes?"

"What made you think of these?"

"That movie just now. I'm afraid. I am very afraid of it happening."

"We had this discussion so many times already. No matter what happens I will never forget about you. Even if I were to loose all my memories of you. I am sure I will find it back and find my way back to you. You are my life, the light in my life. Without you, life would be so dark and lonely. I will never forget you completely. Wait for me if that happens. This I promise you."

Looking at him intensely, she felt his heartfelt answer. He looked back at her and slowly her features were sharpened and he is able to see clearer her eyes. Those eyes that he had drown himself in for so many years.

"I'm holding you to that promise. I love you, Xin."

"I love you too, An"

After saying this, he was in a space that is completely dark. No emotions, no light, no sound.

Just complete emptiness. Feeling the dull pain in his heart. He slowly woke up and stared up at the ceiling.

"Where am I?"

Not getting an answer, he looked around at the familiar room that he used to stay at when he stay over during his visit with Grandfather Shen.

"An. Is that her name? No one is willing to tell me her name. So how can I get a confirmation on this? Pictures? Her face. I remember now. Just her name. I want more answers. The box. An Fei. How are all these related?"

As he was think about the whole incident and the missing part of his life, he can't help but crave for answer.

Holding on to the promise. Holding on to the last memories. Holding on to a glimpse of hope.
