Chapter 44 - Ji Li Investment Firm

Looking through the documents she was more and more impressed by her Grandmother and the way her mind worked. It was shocking that this company was just created since her diagnosis and it had grown so far and is now the top 20 investment firms in the country.

Seeing her reaction and Grandfather Shen's happiness, Chen Xin was very curious about what is stated in the document that made them react this way. He told himself to be patient and put on the face of indifference and lean back on his seat.

An Fei was not sure what to think any more as she look at the document that was worth more than ten billion dollars in front of her. She wondered how did her Grandmother did it. The running of Shen Enterprise and at the same time Galore and now one more, Ji Li Investment Firm.

"Big Sister, don't need to worry about how to run the business. It has been self-sufficient since Sarah first started them. We have hired many talented individuals to assist us with that. You will be meeting them one after another soon and you will understand how the whole business has been ongoing. Also, I would need to brief you on your schedule starting tomorrow as there will be meetings set up for you to meet up with your teams. Let me know your schedule soon so that I can work around it for you."

"Wow, just wow." Overwhelmed by everything that her Grandmother had given to her she is not sure what to say. All she could say to express how she was feeling is just "WOW".

Seeing An Fei's reaction to the inheritance, she is not the only one that feels that everything is just heaven sent. Lawyer Fu knows that after yesterday, An Fei's assets has already increase many folds and now that Ji Li Investment has been included, it is going to multiply it even more.

"Miss An, is there any thing in the document that you might need me to assist you on? Any further questions that you might have? Or anything that you might need clarifications on?"

"Lawyer Fu, I am good, I have the answers for most of the things that is going on in my mind. So I am just lost for words now. I just need to slow it down a little for me to catch a breath."

"In that case, if all is good, please endorse on the document and we will proceed with the transfer. There is still another set of letters and documents here for your review also."

Lawyer Fu handed over an aged folder with a letter on top. Wondering what else could her Grandmother have for her. She reached over and took it over.

Seeing the folder, Grandfather looked away. Fearing the tears that is threatening to fall would be seen by the younger ones in the room with him.

At the corner of her eye An Fei caught on to what her Grandfather was doing. Not wanting to confront him for being emotional, she kept her attention onto the folder and letter.

The letter was written by her father for his own assets and his will. He stated the different assets will be handed to the guardians of his child. No one was aware of this will, thus, the assets had been handed over to Grandmother Shen and was then invested into Ji Li Investment Firm and handed over to An Fei. Ji Li Investment Firm was something that her parent, Shen Hao Tian and Yang Siting, hand always wanted to have start but even before they could have done so, they went missing.

Reading the letter, tears were falling since she saw the penmanship. She had been reading her parent's journals since she was 6 years old. From there, she had missed look through them as she had stopped looking at them since she got into the traffic accident.

"Big Sister, I'm sorry for your lost. Please don't cry. I'll be sad."

She said "Bullshit" under her breath for Pamela to hear.

"Fei Fei, what did you just said?"

Grandfather caught what she said and wanted to confirm what was it that he heard.

"Grandfather nothing. I wanted to say 'Shit, there is more money here.' Grandfather, we would need to get your ears check. Your hearing is fantastic."

"Of course my hearing is good. There is no one at this age that has a hearing that is just as good as mine. So what did your father leave you? Are you going to share with me?"

Before An Fei can reply, Lawyer Fu interrupted her.

"Master Shen, the asset meaning, the properties under Young Master Shen Hao Tian and Madam Yang Siting is all under Miss An's name and because she took on Old Madam's Surname, the condition stated in Young Master's will states that upon the demise of any one of Miss An's guardian, in this case Old Madam Shen, as long as Miss An is no longer holding the surname of Shen, she will be entitled to the inheritance of all the assets. If at the time of reading of his will, Miss An is still a Shen, all the asset will be spilt between the remaining guardian and her at 50% each."

"Oh.. So that was why your Grandmother insisted on the need for you to change your surname at that time. Having said that, you should still look after this old man right?"
