Lets Play a Game

"Let's play a game." Bredret smiled at Celeste as she floated her body over to hug his neck from behind.

Her smile as bright as she gazed into his eyes from beside as she hugged tighter. Even though she was dead and just a spirit his soul was strong enough to the point where he could feel her affection in his soul. It made him happy to have her by his side. She knew he could sense her touch in his soul and that was enough for her as well so she giggled slightly. She did not have much to say in her afterlife as speaking would take a lot of energy from her soul so she had to minimize her communication verbally or her soul could fade away quicker. She had no desire to leave behind her beloved Bredret.

"You wanna play with me?" He smiled brighter at her as he watched her nodded strongly at his suggestion.

Bredret had just dropped Daryl off at the entrance to the Cadirade Palace and flown his way back to the border of the battlefield between the two kingdoms. Since Celeste wanted him to help the crown prince and the kingdom a bit it made Bredret desire to have some fun. Helping the kingdom meant he could set himself loose a bit and that was something he felt like he was going to enjoy while he waited for Daryl's signal.

Being a dragon meant that in his dragon form he could traverse hundreds of miles in mere seconds. There was a reason he was known as the Lord of the Sky among the dragons. Flight was his passion and talent.

His body started to glow a bright gold as his form enlarged. His eyes squinting at the faint pain from shifting his form. His fingers forming into massive claws as two horns grew from his head and a large long tail swinging out from his back side back and forth. Two wings exploded into existence on his back.

"BANG!"

The sound of an explosion rang through the air of the battlefield as his form took place to its fullest. One moment he was a simple human standing on the field where soldiers were slaughtering each other and the next minute thousands of men were staring dumb foundedly at him.

There he stood as tall as a mountain on his hind legs as his bright gold eyes stared down at the thousands upon thousands of soldiers who didn't know whether or not to run in fear. Some of them uttered out screams in fear while some more of them actually fell on their rear ends in the blood stained mud beneath them.

Out of the corner of his eye he could see his beloved, Celeste, pointing at the men and giggling as she sat upon his shoulder. Gazing back down at the field his eyes swept over them all as he exhaled a deep and heavy breath causing hundreds of soldiers to be sent flying simply by his breath alone. A smile slowly faded upon his face as he stretched out his wings. The action caused the men below to run for their lives as they knew if they stood there the force from his wings would be enough to kill them from him simply taking off into flight.

"BAM!" "BAM!" "BAM!"

He wings beat against the air with force. His body powerfully being lifted up into the sky above at an astounding pace. Some of the men didn't make it away in time and were sent soaring through the air to their own deaths.

"Let us play a game of tag! The game is simple, Ethiadan! If I catch you then you die! If you escape you win your life!"

The voice of the dragon in the sky was powerful and fierce as it blew past everyone's ears on the battlefield. The soldiers from Cadirade were elated that the dragon was not there to kill them, but those from Ethiadan instead. While at the same time they were still scared because if they got in the dragons way at the wrong second it could very well still mean their death. Everyone knew dragons were fierce destroys of men. They would not hold back simply because an ally was in their way. To the dragons friend and foe meant nothing!

Bredret's body soared through the sky with grace, but at a power behind it that made the sky rumble like thunder causing everyone to shudder as he descended towards the ground. As he grew closer his jaw slowly opened while the air around him faded into his lunged fast causing a bright light to envelope his jaws. The sound of his inhale was a loud a loud sharp whistle that made everyone want to cover their ears to try and avoid the noise while running for their lives.

As he near the warriors from Ethiadan his bright eyes enlarged with glee as he exhaled. A mountain of flame flared and exploded all across the ground for several miles building up a large wall of flame and corpses. Those who didn't die upon the blast of the flame when they were hit were filling the air with their shrieking and screams of pain as they simply burnt slower to their deaths then their fellow warriors.

Those who did manage to avoid the flame either froze in fear and stared at the scene before them or continued to flee for their life because they knew if they stayed behind that they were to be slaughtered by the dragon that had made an appearance on the field. Bredret could hear some of them screaming to report to the Ice Queen about the vast disaster that was happening as soon as possible. Everyone knew that if something didn't happen and Cadirade was to have a dragon fight for them that it could mean the end of their kingdom.

Bredret laughed to himself as he prepared to make a turn to fly back at them again for another attack.

Celeste was smiling happily as she watched the enemy kingdom burning down below by the power of her beloved. She slowly glided her way to one of the horns on his head and held on to the horn as she took in the scene before her. Not only was she enjoying the help that he was giving to one of the places she cared deeply for in her past life, but the image of the world above itself was something that she always enjoyed whenever she flew around with Bredret. He rarely flew anymore though, even if he was the lord of the sky he had given that up for her in his past life because he simply had wanted to spend his life with her.

Being a dragon it was a huge sacrifice, but he would do anything to make her happy and he had gave up a lot for her. She felt grateful for him being there for her all these years, but at the same time she sometimes felt guilty she couldn't have given him more during their time together when she was alive.
