Child Chynir (Part 2)

The snake bellowed and swung its head violently about the air as it tried to free itself from Leo's sword that was still stuck in the roof of its mouth.

"My~ My~ How Rude." The child said as he walked up to the snake motioning it to lower its head for him.

The boy reached into the snakes mouth and pulled the sword free. Acting as if it was nothing but a simple thorn to the snake he tossed it aside. His hand slowly running down the side of the snakes head as if to soothe its pain away.

"Do you really think your petty tricks can work?" He smirked towards Vorbuk.

"Why would you do something like this? I don't understand how you could just throw away humanity so easily.. from what I saw you too were once human so you must understand what your doing isn't right." Vorbuk spoke casually as he slowly stepped towards a tree.

"Human.. right, I am indeed human. I'm just a dysfunctional one." The child laughed.

Vorbuk quickly jumped into the shadow of the tree. His body sinking right in and vanishing. A look of surprise spread across the child's face as he saw the wolf dive into the shadow. Even if he was Chynir, the child was still only a younger copy of the man's subconscious. He was not as powerful as the god himself.

Taking a chance at going after the child directly the wolf burst forth from the shadows beneath Chynir's feet. His body slamming into the child and sending him tumbling backwards hard against the ground. Loud growling could be heard from the wolf's throat as Vorbuk snarled down at the child. Vorbuk's large paw pressing down against the child's chest in order to keep him from moving.

The snake quickly encircled the both of them and raised its head high above them. Baring its fangs down with a hostile hiss as it wanted to launch straight down on top of them. Though it refused due to its master being pinned down under the wolf.

I wonder.. If I kill you personally will it send us out of this illusion of yours? Vorbuk growled as he thought those words. He did not need to use human speech for the child to understand the blood thirsty look in the wolf's eyes. Desperation to free them all from this fake world of the child's was obvious for Chynir to understand. But that desperation only thrilled him more.

"No wonder that old bastard favors you so much.. hah.. hahah." The young Chynir could only laugh at how Vorbuk desperately wanted to cling on to the humanity he had long thrown away.

Vorbuk's black mana broke forth from his body like a black fog. Enveloping him and Chynir into nothing but a ball of pure darkness. There was no light to be seen and there was no air to breath. If another living being had been enveloped in Vorbuk's fog with him they would have suffocated. But the child beneath him was not human. It was not alive. It was purely mana that acted upon the memories and desires of its creator, Chynir.

"Wh-what the.. What are you-?!" The child began to panic as he felt his body beginning to fade away.

The black fog wrapped around Chynir's small body like restrains that held him in place. His panicked expression shouted but no sound could be heard. Darkness was consuming him. If he was built of mana.. Vorbuk did the only thing he could think of. He used his own shadow mana to absorb the mana of the illusionist. There was no telling what would happen by absorbing pure mana and such a drastic amount. It was his only chance to put an end to this illusion.

When there was nothing left of the young clone of Chynir a loud shattering sound could be heard like broken glass.

The world around them had returned to the temple. Although the room they were in had changed into that of a large library. One thing was not as what Vorbuk had expected. Above him the large snake was still towering high above him. Its body was trembling as its master had just vanished before it without it able to do a thing.

It- It wasn't just another one of the illusion's tricks? Vorbuk thought to himself. Hope that the snake was just another one of Chynir's illusions had been tossed out the window.

"I am so sick of this shit!" Bredret's voice could be suddenly heard from a distance. It was not completely unexpected since the illusion was gone. Once they had been set free it wasn't a problem for Bredret to find them to unite the group quickly.

A large ball of flame exploded against the side of the snakes head causing it to hiss and howl out in rage. It was still sporting the wounds from Leo's fire previously. As it swung its head to the side they could all see Bredret standing firm with an annoyed expression and his middle finger in the air. Smoke was burning from his middle finger that he had used to shoot the fire.

"I'm sorry. Did that hurt? So does my sobriety." Bredret scoffed sarcastically before sighing as if he was exhausted. He hated that things were taking so long for him to return to the nearest pub. Drink. He wanted to drink badly.

The snake's body trembled as its head glared down in Bredret's direction. Flicking its tongue about the air to sense his direction. As its body shifted position it knocked against the walls of the temple causing dust and white marbled bricks to fall. The room was difficult to contain such a large creature.

"Is he joking?" Leo whispered towards Daryl as they all ran up. They had been in a different part of the temple when the illusion broke.

"No. He's completely seriously." Daryl responded. Having known Bredret for such a long time he'd seen the man loose his temper before. It was never a sight he enjoyed. Though Bredret would sometimes talk or act harshly, he was actually a caring person. That was something only those close to him understood about him. But when his fuse broke and he really lost control of himself things naturally got extremely dangerous for those around him. It was never intentional but when a dragon goes on a rampage not many would be able to stop it. "His temper is bad when he's sober."

"It can get worse?!" Everyone shouted the question in unison to Daryl's words. Over time they had gotten a bit use to how Bredret acted around them. But none of them had yet seen Bredret really loose his temper. Of course, they would not be aware of how dangerous he could become once that line was crossed.

"Well..." Daryl didn't know how to explain it to them how destructive a sober Bredret could get.

It was only a matter of minutes before they all would realize just how terrifyingly destructive Bredret could become when he lost control of himself and that fuse of his snapped. A dragon's rampage and was something Vorbuk would soon never forget.
